Hmm.... I just realized that I don't have any major plans over the three-month break before my graduate studies start.
I've already shot my resume to a few companies to beg for an internship, but no one seems to be interested in little ol' me.
Heck, I've tried applying to be a paid research assistant at my own lab over the holidays. My prof said that he can't hire me personally as he doesn't have any grants.... so I would have to wait for another opening to be made available with another prof who has dosh to spare.
Oh well.... worst case scenario, I'll just flip burgers or something......

Just read the morning rags.
Apparently, Beijing has asked the Koreans to go easy on pro-China protestors who rioted during the Olympic torch relay in Seoul. The Koreans want to charge them for rioting and deport them back to China.
According to China, the pro-China protestors had 'well-meaning intentions'.
Sheesh.... talk about hypocrisy......

the boss just walked in and... i can feel my blood pressure increase..
KNN.. one whole goddamned circle taking about one goddamned month... and finally, she tells me to "write in my recommendations" and she will then "write in hers" and send to my dy director and see what the dy director does..
and "if the dy director wants a divisional response, we will recraft it"
this is all because she feels she cannot back down now because she was dead wrong... and i was right..
she wants all this now..
and she scheduled me to go for a bunch of meetings today...
and... nevermind...
i want out... and after my promise of the next goddamned annual report, i'm going to get the goddamned HR to let me out..

the boss went and did something insanely stupid!! and i have to clean up the mess again!!
how many times have i told her NOT to anyhow talk nonsense if she doesn't know what she's talking about??
to her, the organisation INTRANET is no different from the organisation INTERNET site..
whatever is resident in our intranet, she repeatedly tells the bloody vendor to go look at it... and i have to go and explain to the increasingly irate vendor that it is actually in the intranet and that to just send us the bloody pdf file in high resolution..
to her, what's on the screen is okay... and when the bloody thing is printed, it's pixellated to hell, she's not happy with the vendor and everyone...
and i want the vendor to send us a high resolution pdf file (at least 100dpi), she's not happy because "it's too big"
i've lost count of the number of times i have told her we can step down the resolution, but we can never step up the resolution... and she's not happy with me again...
today, i may have to go home late..
somehow, we seem to suffer for the stupidity and sins of others...

How does this bode for her INTRApersonal and INTERpersonal relationships? She jumbles them up as well?

maybe she does not know the difference between qualitative and quantitative data gathering eitherperhaps her understanding macro and micro economics is jumbled up as well
