AUSSIE men: Do you regularly play footy with mates? Get under the bonnet of your car? Own a shed?
If not, you could be one of the increasing number of Aussie men going soft.
According to the results of a survey that polled 1000 Australian men on their blokeyness, "the nation's iconically hard Aussie blokes are a dying breed".
Only 5 per cent of men regularly play football with their friends; almost 50 per cent admit it has been months since they tinkered with their car; and shed ownership has dropped 27 per cent over a generation.
On the flipside, concern for skin care is growing and Australian men are not afraid to wear pink.
More than three-quarters of men polled in the survey, commissioned by Kirks Brewed Ginger Beer, agreed that men were "softer" than the previous generation.

This article reminds me of a male nurse colleague of mine. Initially, I thought he was mighty gay because of his mannerisms. However, I was stunned to learn that he's totally heterosexual!
Eeeee!! How can a 'normal' man act so gay?!

Oh well *stands in salutation*, but of course, man's masculinity can only be judged when it boils down to the real thing, and everyday mannerism and self-care is definitely not a sin.I'm pretty sure most of the woman now, whom try to look good, don't want to be standing next to however-manly-barbaric-undergroomed-men.

she listed a whole bunch a stuff that guys usually do, and she did it

I think its a global thing... My dad can do carpentry work and fix things around the house. The younger guys cannot do any of these and is even afraid of getting electrocuted when changing a light...

x2 manMy hubby who is way older than me can do carpentry, fix the bulb and other things around the house....my ex who was the same age as me waits for me to fix things around the house :x

there were 3 such shitheads in my section during BMT I shit you not.somemore we were already damn good life liao, being in the kuniang company (all PES C)

my BMT OC had a red beret... his first words were "men, i don't know how to say much, i'll tell you what i believe in.. i believe in tough training"
and he led from the front, got BMT OC leopard crawl up Botak Hill, run down then tell us that's how we must do it one? we all don't want to do also LL kena do...

Haaaar?!! Biangz!! I've been changing all the light bulbs since I was 21!!
I even single-handedly built the furniture in my apartment here, and somehow dragged them into position.
Even figured out how to connect the TV to the DVD recorder.
Heck, I even figured out how to fix simple leaks from the water cistern!
