Anyone here talented in this department? Drawing, painting, stitching, etc? Would love to see your masterpieces.
cross-stitch considered? not talented just used to do them... maybe i should start again... anw wkend i sleep TOO much cos dominate my pc... >.<
Erm... not talented. I don't consider craftwork recreated from existing patterns creative nor artistic.
Let's see... I do have a few cross-stitch pieces and I'm sure you know by now that I had three framed pieces stolen from me during one of my house moves. Still heartbroken thinking about it cause I personally changed the colour schemes for two of those pieces and they ended up looking prettier than the original too! Thankfully, I have a few other unframed pieces safely in my mom's house back in Singapore... tucked away somewhere...
I'm able to crotchet and create paper flowers as well. Flower arrangement. Sew clothes from paper patterns.
I will scrapbook when I move into my own place and can afford the space for it. I also want to learn patchwork, quilting and knitting someday.
Hmm..... the FS is into scrapbooking.
I've accompanied her several times to Spotlight at Plaza Singapura for her scrapbooking supplies. There's another small scrapbooking shop at PS as well.
Basically.... someone has to be the porter.

Not bad leh! Looks very 'zen'! And in touch with the natural elements of Earth, Wood, and erm... Paper, which is a combination of Wood + Water. Only thing missing is, you should light it up, then you get ALL the elements represented then it becomes very balanced!
Ommmmmm!!

Hmm... isn't there a Scrapbook University shop in Wheelock Place? It was being set up when I last returned to Singapore.
Here's what can be done with a pine cone, some coral rubble, wire and no particular concept in mind:

Very pretty and whimsical!
I'm collecting stuff from my everyday life here to create into some kinda artwork to commemorate my new life here in Melbourne. I'm now collecting my used Tram Tickets to see if some sort of collage can be created from them.
I've already done a dried flower petals display thing commemorating my first year in Melbourne and I'm sure a few of you would remember having seen the photo in my post a few months back.
Thanks. Something related to time and storytelling would be a good way to use those tickets.

I haven't saved enough tickets yet, mainly cause I started to use the 10X tickets so that doesn't yield a lot of used tickets for use.
But yeah... I'm toying with a few ideas but will only be able to do something concrete only after I've amassed enough used tickets. Hehe!
I'm also going to take silly photos of all the shoes I own since coming here or something... it would be interesting to see how many pairs of shoes I wear out and eventually end up owning in Melbourne! Harhar!
Also, photos of silly things like my first winter coat, etc.
Its part of wad i do everyday.

Oopz.. don't mind me, I don't do watercolours.. so I don't know anything much about it . sorry!
in terms of art, everything cost a bomb. last time my art teacher told me it's not monetary values in art. :)
