Hmmm come to think of it I dunno anyone who got themselves a MOB but for my family I have cousins who married Indonesians and Fillipinas etc and there was no problems whatsoever but they are not MOBs.
Also, I think some people think that selling yourself for a better life is no better than selling your body for money, therefore the disgusting behaviour.

I think it's more of the MOB thingy than a wife from a 3rd world shit holeI know of ppl who get Viet, Indonesian, Fillipina peasants as wives and no one else treat them as a lowly educated peasants from a 3rd world shit hole but maybe the difference is that they fell in love while working there and was not a MOB.
I think your friend will have to play a role too, like upgrading her skills etc instead of keeping her at home

But ppl treat her with respect because she is helping him run his business and she is very intelligent and shrewd
I think it also depends on how your friend treat his wife. If he doesn't support her in front of you guys or treat her like a maid and not speak up for her, don't expect the rest to treat her with respect because her own husband is not even giving her the respect due to a wife.

they are both being ostracisized .... I just went to a wine bar with the whole gang last week .... the couple was NOT invited .... i was told pointedly by the organizer "no, i didn't bother calling C and his wife " ....

A true friend is more concerned about your happiness and wish you the best and overlook things like race and family background as long as they know the person will treat you well!

we may not agree with their choice of spouse... but ultimately it's their own decisions... the least we could do as friends is to be supportive; not cut them off...

you married a Singaporean, neways I think it's not really about the ethnicity but the background ...
they got married last year, just before I came back ... from what i hear the boys spent a long time trying to talk him out of it ... but figured it's better than him going lap sup bars all the time ......
we go way back, the boys and I ... I suspect it's the influence of some of their wives ....
