Does a woman like Oshin exist in 2008?

Hi guys,
My mum is a taking care of a six year old girl and she is quite spoilt always wants to have her way like a princess..are parents nowadays pampered their child too much unlike our grandparents time?
So does a humble girl like OSHIN growing up to a wealthy businesswoman who took care and love her family still exist?

OMG!! Oshin!! I saw the show when i was a little kid la. It was a very nice heartwarming and wrenching drama.

Little Oshin can't go to school cause she needs to work as babysitter, so many children in Sg complain heavy schoolbag and too much homework....oshin go!

there are such good women.. only they're a shitload smarter than the stupid woman in the series who suffered needlessly and for no reason other than she's dumb as hell...
sorry.. i'm just being practical.. when i watched an episode of this series, i was appalled by how stupid the girl was... and that every person who was "bad" in there would have their ass thrown in the slammer in modern times for abuse...
that being said, there are good women.. everywhere.. just that the cynicism of a lot of men will cause them to be unable to "find them"
but the actual fact is that these women are lots lots LOTS smarter and will avoid the cynical and sociopathic men like the plague

I know a few . Juz that they may be too simple than Enterprising. Perseverance is not the only key to success nowadays.
At least nowadays it takes more than perseverance to keep the basic marriage intact.

Hai for a story.... this "friend" of muine did not believe in all that fortune telling or feng shui. So one day i got him to a crystal shop cause he stupidly think crystal is cheap and he wanted to impress a girl to become his girl. Then he ask the shop owner to "count his fortunes". Shop owner said he is a person with luck and yet he choose not to see it. He is quick tempered and often over little things. He complains about lack of love luck but actually many a times, he has a lot of ladies around him and yet he is so choosy about them." Finally the shop owner tells him that as he is choosy about others, the girls are also choosing him.
Many people don't see the blessings right in front of their noses. Complains, whining and etc about what no longer exists creates so much negativity around them that good things also avoid them.

thr are women who are willing to suffer hardship for and with their loved ones... just tat we ain't tat stupid to suffer unreasonably in silence...
