  Singapore Noodles

  Yeah some of my ang mo friends dun believe we dun have something called Singapore noodles at all

  The very first time I heard of it I was thinking Hokkien Prawn Mee or Char Kwey Teow

  Yeah... I remembered I almost smacked a very stubborn Filipino gay colleague who kept insisting that there MUST be Singapore Noodles in Singapore because it's called Singapore Noodles! 

  This gay colleague, he's socially ... stunted.  He doesn't really know how to make conversation, and he always says the same old stuff everytime he sees me as a conversation-starter!    Peng sanz!!

  Actually, come to think of it, although we don't have the proper kway chap noodles here, can improvise.  Can buy the Vietnamese chee cheong fun, unroll it and peel it unevenly, then boil / steam it! 

  The stock can be made easily and kiam chye, canned peanuts, fish cake, tau pok, etc all can be found here.

  I remember that the first time I saw this ad, I was eating dinner in front of the TV (as always), and I almost choked on my food then!
