Carribbean Blue - Green Light at the Gates of Hades
Hunter Green - Decay, you corpse!
Burgundy - Vampire's Delight
Cell Blue - Dead People Turn Blue

Yippeee!!! Finally, someone else who shares the same opinion!! Thanks!!
Cell blue, purple and Carribean blue for me :)
carribean blue for me, all the others either look too boring or inappropriate, carrib blue's like the obvious choice.
Glow in teh dark neon for me
Thanks for all that feedback!
Looks like it shall be Caribbean Blue then!
I'm quite tempted to order the all-black limited edition stethoscope as well...
I remember sometime back, I posted this under the "Things I Desire But Don't Really Require" thread...
The Littmann Stethoscope Electric 4100WS Black!
This brings diagnostics to a whole new level!
And the cost for hearing heart and lung and what-not sounds in pristine stereo, A$749.
I saw a Prof in my new workplace wearing this around his neck!! Waaaah! Surround-sound stereo system!
BTW, this Prof is a Singaporean, very prominent in his field, known to be THE BEST surgeon in his area in Melbourne. Huge brain drain for Singapore!
I speak a little bit of Hokkien and Singlish to him whenever he comes round to see his patients. He told me yesterday that one day, he'll bring laksa for me!
Anyways, I digress. The reason why I'm talking about this stethoscope is because I just told the Nurse Educator in the cardiac ward that he should get the hospital to purchase this for him or just for use between the Educators in the Emergency Dept, ICU and the Cardiac Unit because it will prove invaluable in recording abnormal heart and lung sounds, and then setting up some sort of database where nursing and medical staff can access for training and knowledge.
i like hunter green leh.. burgundy oso nice..
i tink cell blue is the cutest n most suitable for female!

What? You mean, listen to heart sounds via the loudspeaker?
There are websites where you can listen to audio clips of different heart sounds. It's really interesting.
Our heart is supposed to have two beats only: Lub-Dub, Lub-Dub... but I've heard abnormal ones like Lub-Fwoosh-Dub; Lub....Dub; Lub... DubLub; Lub-DubDub; Broo-Dub, etc.

Not yet... Still can't decide if I should get a more expensive cardiology one or not. The better ones tend to amplify the sounds a bit better, but they don't come cheap.
Yup you're paying for the functions =) yeah...things like that never come cheap tsk =(

I AM toying with the idea of getting a digital stethoscope... the cheapest model, simply because you are not only able to amplify the sounds, you can also record and playback and upload to your PC or MP3 player, which makes learning to distinguish between the different types of heart and lung sounds much easier and more accurate. You can really learn that way and make notes on your PC beside the MP3, saying stuff like, "Female pt, Caucasian, 84 yo with a Heart Murmur and phx of IHD, HPT, Stenting, etc etc... "
However, it's a bit pai seh if the Nurse Educators and most doctors don't even have that, and you do...

Hahaha...i didn't know that you could record those sounds...seems like i'm really not in touch with the technology now haha...hey it would be a good investment for those Nurse Educators...hehe....but then again they can go around saying that they don't need it because they are experienced enough to judge what the differences are tsk
