Oh, then they are most likely bull-sh!tting you! There are waaay too many heart sounds to diagnose and even the very knowledgeable nurse educator in my cardiac ward admits that he's just scraping the surface, and he's someone extremely experienced and knowledgeable with more than 10 years experience in cardiology nursing!
I'm very fascinated with this Singaporean Prof in my ward. He's known to be THE best cardiac surgeon in Melbourne, and he is able to distinguish heart sounds so well that not only can he diagnose where the problem lies in the heart just by listening to the sounds, he can distinguish little variances and characteristics like high-frequency, etc that most of us will miss.
He's not only the top surgeon in his field, he's good at Chinese painting and has published a book of landscape photography! On top of that, he's so humble and friendly, it's incredible! Really kow-tow him!
got anybody's heartbeat that sounds like german techno?

Recently, I heard a really odd one... "Hweeee-Dub! Hweeee-Dub!" Turns out the man had a valve implanted a few years back. I let him listen to his own heart sound and he was very amused by it. I let his daughter listen to her own normal heart sound, and then his, and she was also very amused. She said it sounded "like a baby crying"!

Yeah!! Most of the time, I'm happy if they don't get sarcastic or lose their temper over something trivial.
They also have a tendency to turn up at the worst moments, eg. when your hair is royally messed-up after struggling with and cleaning up some confused patient who thinks bodily fluids are fun and then the surgeon turns up, asks you questions about another patient whom you had no time to go check on for the past hour and a half because of this crazy nutcase, and he looks down his snotty nose at you and passes sarcastic remarks that makes you wanna drag him into the nutcase's room by his hair and partake of the noxious odours and non-stop screaming in there.
He's so friendly that when I saw him talking to another nurse yesterday, I kinda hovered around a bit, then walked away and he looked up and greeted me and gave me a friendly wave! Waaah!!
Actually it's easier to find doctors and surgeons without airs here. I almost fell off my seat when a few docs here started to greet me by name and strike a conversation! A few of them are amazingly friendly.
cell blue is the most outstanding.

Too bad that online site from the US doesn't ship internationally. Otherwise, I can custom-make the stethoscopes and have colourful ones with lovely stethoscope heads!
The stethoscope does come in pink, but it's for a basic model, not good enough.
hey listen to my heart then tell me whether my next gf wud be hawt or not...but this is really intriguing man, are there sounds in other parts of our body?

Wow...that's very uncommon here in Sg though lol...and not that most of them are really that good in their field tsk...wonder what gives them the right to be so arrogant...
Haha...wow seems like the people at your working area are friendly and nice...actually i think that should be the way how our working environment should be like...and not having arrows shooting everywhere like nobody's business lol

If your heart talks to me about your next girlfriend when I'm listening to it, I'll be the first to run the hell away from you man!
There are sounds from the heart, lungs, area of the neck where the jugular veins and carotid arteries are, and the stomach (+ intestines).

Well, my new workplace is much more pleasant, compared to my previous one.
I met up with a few other nurses who used to work in my previous ward but have all transferred to other wards, like me. We all felt it was way too political there with a handful of power-hungry bitches running the show.
I'm glad I left when I did, cause I'm sure with that moody, temperamental and lazy Team Leader being promoted to the Nurse Unit Manager position, things won't look pretty. She's one of those really pretty blondes who can't do their work and is extremely lazy and unhelpful (and she even 'tsk's' often and rolls her eyes when you approach her for something that's within her job scope) but somehow, is good at charming management and so she practically had the job pushed onto her although we all felt someone else in the ward deserved that promotion more.
Well, my new workplace is more pleasant because most of us are concerned with getting the job done well, then heading home. There are, of course, a few that I would tread carefully around and beware of, but they are a minority, thankfully.
I smile everytime I look at my roster now... I work 12-hr shifts now and every week for the next few weeks, I receive pay to attend a course! I have so many days off a fortnight, I'm still feeling very merry over the thought! Kekeke!!
