The Changi spit (Tanah Merah Coastal Rd).
Now that's a really nice place, provided you can co-habit with the sandflies.
Try not to go to this part of East Coast Park called 'Fort Road beach'...or maybe you might want to...

We're talking about a mangrove forest next to the sea.
Besides the sandflies, you should enjoy yourself there.
you want to go to deserted beaches and you don't know what sandflies are?
sheesh.. you better go find out.. they're one of the worst things that can inflict you on a beach... it's not pretty..
try..camping at graveyards...should be fun...

Should find out first hand mah.
I do have a few spots of my own .....
but sorry, nothing against you ... but what they say is right .... a paradise found is a paradise lost ... so what's still left shall remain undisclosed .....
neways there are no truly deserted spots in singapore, unless you count the military training areas (and no, I don't believe mas selamat's hiding in the jungles) ....
there was a place, with an untouched jungle creek with fresh water crabs and shrimp in Singapore, and another brackish jungle pond full of wild forest snakehead in it .... both gone now ... part of a highway extension now ...
lorong halus used to be an ulu place, years ago ... sungei api api also .... paradise if you like puttering around in swamps ....

but don't worry.. usually sandflies won't plague you when you are there so you CAN enjoy the peace and quiet
it will just drive you nuts the next day after you come back :P
If you want remote and deserted beaches, look no farther than Pedra Branca...

Holy shit.
The seas would be rough there given the weather now.

I tried biking into the mangrove next to Pasir Ris Park.
I was forced out by a cloud of unseen forces 2-3 hrs later.

Asked you whether you lonely you told me nooo.
I would recommend the canal at Changi spit along the biking path if you wanna fish.
It's a really great place with little sandflies.

You'll have 2 to 3 hours to soak in nature's grandeur before being "forced out by a cloud of unseen forces."

good thing is i am not allergic to sandflies..
so it just takes me a COUPLE OF WEEKS for the bites to stop itching and disappear..
a friend of mine that's allergic has his for MONTHS... scary..
hahaha...i know what sandflies are, and i had mine when i was in outward bound, took me close to a week to get it off.
i just get sian when i saw "sandflies" dammmnnnnn.
the saf is probably still searching the same places as mentioned above for mas selamat.
careful, dun get caught.
