oic.. sounds like a cool arrangement.for me, i was elated to be back at work. I was getting bored with having my maid as the only person to hold an adult conversation. keke
so who's looking after your precious while u are at work?
Baby and maid are brought over to in-law's during the day. I bring them home after work. Despite small disagreements with in-laws that are really unavoidable due to close proximity, am thankful for this convenient arrangement and the ready help the grandparents can provide.
Btw did you know another one of us ol'timers had his baby in same month as mine this year?

choco, that's what my mom did. She pinched my nose till early Primary when I would yell in protest cause she'd catch me unawares then spring a surprise nose-pinch!
Dad was worse... he'd chase me round the house with a wooden clothes peg because he says pinching the nose with a clothes peg is more 'effective' than mom's finger pinching.
As you can all see, none of the two methods worked! Neh neh neh!!
choco, your baby's very cute! Sooo wanna pinch her cheeks!

Here in Aussieland, the grandma's and grandpa's would describe him as "bright-eyed and bushy-tailed".
I became an aunt this year. This is a photo of my niece before her one-month.
I have yet to meet her but mom and dad keep saying that she looks exactly like me when I was a bub. I think we will get along just fine... we share the same Chinese Horoscope too!
I wan ! .....

that's a common arrangement among my colleagues. Indeed, small disagreements are unavoidable. But these far outweigh the insecurity (and at times danger) of leaving baby alone with the maid.
hmm... lemme guess.. would that be sillyme? Definitely not SFU inzaghi huh?

"Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed" is a common idiom here used to describe someone who looks very sharp, bright, and alert.
I always think of squirrels when I hear "bushy-tailed". Squirrels are always zipping about here, hence the association, I guess.

oohhhhh....
"bushy-tailed" somehow conjures in my mind an image of a bushy messy pair of eyebrow ..
and my kiddo indeed has messy eyebrow :(
