Square Watermelons!

Lookee here! In Japan, you can get watermelons that aren't round, but squarish!!
They sure ain't cheap though! I'm wondering, why bother?
Maybe, sooner or later, they will grow heart-shaped watermelons for Valentine's Day where they can retail for at least $100 for lovesick pups eager to demonstrate their 'love' by indulging in something new and unusual.
Or how about Christmas tree-shaped Watermelons for Christmas?

I think it's just some novelty thing that will die off because it's not as if the watermelons are juicier or sweeter.

Really? I kinda thought I read it before somewhere, but I checked the date on the 'news' and it was dated just a few days ago so I thought maybe my memory failed me.
