Too much trouble and food portions of small amounts usually means you have to pack your own food. If not it's such a waste if you eat out
I put digestive biscuits in office.. so if hungry just eat 2-3 lo.. :P I drink alot of water in office to fill stomach.. last time I used to be able to eat a foot long sub.. now I eat 6 inch sub just nice..
you'll feel a lot healthier in this way.. and if you do exercise, it makes everything better..

Tannery lane sindo building cafeteria.
The nasi padang is so much and the makcheks here dont understanding the phrase: Chek, not too much!
Actually, the hawkers should start to follow McD's style and introduce Small, Medium and Large sizes. Maybe, also offer meal sets that you can 'upsize'!
Eg. "Auntie / Uncle! I want to order Medium chicken rice upsize to add char siew!"
OR
"Auntie / Uncle! I want to order Small Char Kway Teow, no hum, upsize to add another small Orh Luak!"
OR
"Mak Chik! Nasi Sikek, but sambal goreng upsize sia?"
Hah I just eat 3/4 of what is on my plate and I always ask for less rice
Nay I don't like to eat biscuits
I'm not a carbo person in the first place
Usually I eat more meat and veggies (usually 2 veggies 1 meat/fish)
The one thing that tends to make one fat (at least for me) is carbs
I'm not a rice person
You know the small packs of Japanese rice??? In my house that can last me for over a year. My hubby and I don't like to eat rice. We prefer to eat noodles/potato/wholemeal bread

Mee Pok: 2.00 - 2.50
Chwee Kueh - No idea coz I eat that like maybe once a year
Mee Siam: 2.00 - 3.00 (I think the chilli paste must be sibei ex)
Chendol - I don't even know if I eat Chendol once a year or not. No idea. LOL

it depends on where you are...
if in town, ranges from $3.50-5.00
if in suburb.. probably $2-3 like that..

Orh... still not quite so bad.
I miss stuff that can't be found over here, which thankfully, isn't too many. Stuff like all the cold and hot desserts, ngoh hiang with the chilli sauce and the sweet pink sauce with beehoon, the morning b'fast beehoon where you can choose the items and then eat it with plenty of sambal, and Mee Siam, Mee Rebus, Lontong, Satay, zhi char...

yes, that's the cons of moving to overseas..... but when you're back in sg for holiday, you can stuff urself with food!
my aussie relatives usually come back to sg for hol.. they only want to eat hawker food and not restaurants..

Maybe his siew mai is the jumbo-sized type leh?
well ... the stuffing's certainly about half a siew mai ...
I no longer order stuff like kway png and wonton mee at hawker centres or food courts nowadays ... unless it's a second helping to top up .....
cos they are the worst offenders .....
Actually I think if I don't live in SG the only food I'll really miss is
Chicken Rice (which I can cook but lazy)
And cheap Roast and Braised Duck rice
And Economy Bee Hoon
And Chicken feet Noodles :P

Too much work and effort for just one person. Besides, with work and studies (and computer games and X-Files) these days, there's not much time left.
