actually when I was overseas, I also did not celebrate ... probably because I only know 1 other Singaporean.. the others were from other countries..

he's the first chap whom i've met, who can give you a prep talk about patriotism and love of country while you're dirty and muddy and shivering and soaking wet from a 5am changi beach mua chi session and make you feel all warm and squishy inside .....

the biggest problem with it is that not public holiday on Monday.
