I feel your pain.
Even people employed to do sai kang often do a piss poor job because they feel the job is beneath them. I'm like.....then you jolly well quit and go study or something. And don't expect to be given opportunities for higher level work when you can't even demonstrate that you can do the simple stuff.

this one is a long term problem child that we're stuck with. talks and complains all the time, keeps telling people from other departments how capable she is, sabos her own boss etc..but can't work for nuts. its so hard to get good help. unfortunately we're not in the private sector or she'd have been given her marching orders long ago!another example: she's supposed to turn on all the office equipment and ensure printers have paper, change toner cartridges etc and shut down everything at the end of the day. end up we do most of it ourselves becauses is a lot faster plus, she goes home on the dot. she's the kind that will insist on being given time off for every minute past 6pm she has to stay.

at least the person is bonded and supposed to serve the bond out working off the money they paid for him (well that's assuming they do not heap more benefits on him because he is a scholar....).better than those free study + allowance and just need to work in sg for 3 years.....

actually that's because the pple in charge of her have no guts to do the dirty work. well + the system hinders pple from doing so too. -

I won't put it pass them. hell I might do it too if I could get better opportunities elsewhere and can limit the repercussions of breaking the bond (if there are any). Besides, I think there should be a substantial sum for breakign the bond. The problem is how do they enforce it. If the person just runs off back to china.......end of the day the idiots in charge should have found ways to enforce the rules on the scholarship before they gave it out.
