  autumm, after the jam-packed summer hols. yeah, train is good and you can get the tickets there and then. plus you can save on a night of hotels here and there if you take the overnight train - if you can zzz on train like me. check out the low cost carriers too.

  spring is also a good time. are you adverse to cold? if so, go towards end of march coz jan/feb is still "winter" and are the coldest months in the year. unless you're in south europe.

  Well, it was in my plans for a decent camera.  The casio exslim with 8.1 mega pixels is selling for $248 at the police welfare shop yesterday i checked.

  try any camera you are thinking of buying. rate it based on comfort in hand, control layout, battery life etc. megapixel count for consumer cameras is marketing nonsense.
