it's not just any piece of diving equipment ......
it's a HALCYON ......
as a DIR diver, I have always use only halcyon and apeks stuff .... nothing else is good enough ....
tis a relacement for my venerable first generation halcyon pioneer wing ........

Oh ? DIR ? whats that ? I wanna learn to dive also !!!! I lurve the water! I must learn to do proper diving. *notes it down in his to-do-list* heh heh... got few times have the opportunity to go diving but i never go. Too engrossed with other stuffs. hahaha

DIR is a diving movement that advocates a specific style of equipment configuration and diving techniques .... it's very very different from the mainstream ... the advocates can be rather ... "passionate" about it ... so much so that people have called the movement the mormons or talebans of diving ..... me, I've been using a DIR configuration every since it first go introduced here in Singapore about 8 year ago, but yeah, I'm a "stroke" ...

I would love to psycho you to become one of my students, but since you're where you are, I would advise you to learn it properly there ... cold water diving is a whole different ballgame ... you can get certified in cold water and dive in the tropics, but if you get certified in the tropics and want to dive in cold water, they'd want to ask you to go for orientation or skill evaluation dives first ... it's much better to learn it properly there.

My extremely sinful indulgence with a new friend today during lunchtime...
The very delectable Lunch Platter at Basque Spanish Restaurant along Chapel St.
The pretzel 'antenna's were really nice! And it was the first time I got to taste Artichokes and Pilchards, after years of seeing them in cookbooks and on TV!
I found the pilchards too saltish and too 'fishy' and the artichokes were kinda like rich, creamy, buttered onions in taste and texture. Interesting... My favourite was that little cube of Quince Jelly at the top right hand corner, right beside what I think is a Potato Matzo Ball. I LOVE good-quality Quince Jelly!!
Et après (and afterwards), we had sinfully rich churros with milk chocolate at San Churro's Chocolatierre.
And I made it even 'worse' by having a Budda something... which was essentially melted chocolate with hazelnut! Extremely, extremely rich!! My circulation is now a tad sluggish cause my arteries are probably all coated with a layer of thick, sticky chocolate!
Like, who needs cholesterol when you have thick and rich chocolate like that?! It was a day of culinary indulgence for me!

You first day know me?It was at that nice cosy jap restaurant opposite my place. The food is very good, and a big chunk of their regulars are japanese. When you eat there, you really feel like you're in Japan! The staff there can speak japanese too.
