here's something..
A new bottled water company is selling NY tap water in bottles and filling up people's empties as a way of spreading the word that tap is good, it's better for the environment than shipping bottles in from Fiji, it's fun, it's blablabla. You get the idea.
why the hell do people buy water in bottles in places like the US and in Singapore?
it's not only terrible for the environment, it's a waste of money... our water is cleaner than the stuff in the bottles!
okay.. own up.. who buys bottled water in Singapore?
Only when I forget to bring my water bottle out... Hehe.
Ahhh... marketing....
Package any dumb old thing properly, put a positive spin to it, and there will be people stupid enough to buy it.
In all honesty, I'm sick and tired of sales pitches telling me about how I need to install water filters to my tap and tell all sorts of horror stories about the chlorine in it.
Some MLM fellas ( I talked about that before) tried to pull that trick off on my family..... and when I told them that Singapore's water exceeds WHO standards, and the rationale behind adding chlorine.... they had absolutely no answer to my retort.
Sheesh. I've been drinking tap water for all my life. All my water parades in the army involved tap water.
If it's really as bad as they make it out to be, I'd be on my deathbed by now.
yeah i buy bottled water...sometimes..
esp when outside....and it'll look ridiculous to drink from e toilet's tap.. =p

agreed..!1...drinking from toilet's tap seems unhygienic to me although it is declared safe from the environment..I'd rather spend 60cents buying bottled water....hehe..just to play safe mah....
you dont know where your bottled water is really from...
uhh... bottle water is one of the biggest ecological disasters on the planet..
think about it..
*raise hands*
I intend to get a water bottle soon ... then I can stop buying bottled water ...
Just like new water...

new water?
i don't know what is the people's problem with it...
the PUB gave us a pile of the stuff to promote it.. people refuse to drink the stuff.. but they'll readily drink the bottled water which is made from reverse osmosis.. which is the same as Newater
Knowing how Newater is processed will put some ppl off it =P
I drank Newater b4 and i find that it has a distinct metallic taste

i've been to the plant, seriously to me... the process doesn't look much different from our usual water, except for more steps of filtering...

"natural carbonation"
whatever it is, i drink from the tap as long as it is safe..
although i still get yelled at occasionally by the aunties in the office for drinking tap water.. all of the people, including a few in their twenties, still drink boiled water..
