my folks have been drinking this stuff in hot water for some time .... but I've been resisting cos I've always hated sour plums and stuff .....

Some of them taste really vile though. I remember my sister buying a box from a japanese supermarket in USA.
She tried one, dump that away. I ate one, relegated that box to the back of the fridge.
Its was very salty.
i dare to eat Ume wine's left over plum though.....the plums should also be good to place with steaming fish.
