ermm...it's not that bad abstaining from meat. though you do have a point of starting slow. continue with some meat products eg milk, cheese, eggs and maybe slowly wean off.
Come on folks, its really hard to stick to vegetarian diet.
I try to do that once a year, a month.
But its serious crippling if you dont have a decent cook at home. Eating out is hazardous because most food, though vegetarian; contains sauce of animal origins.
I cant even eat chinese chee cheong fun without worrying about that fish sauce!
TS, just make sure you drink lots of water, have bread, egg mayo filling in the fridge & peanut butter on standby.
You will start hullucinating about meat soon. :D

you must do it gradually. just to let you in, i was on a salad diet for THREE years!!!! morning eat cereal, bran de. lunchtime salad, NO dressing. just lettuce with corn kiblets and chick peas. ar bo tuna or salmon flakes. ar bo de hard boiled eggs. and then dinner same thing. FOR THREE YEARS!!!!
no good. run into vit b deficient. lucky early stage. if late stage can result in memory loss. :| of course i have stopped. and eating whatever i see....kekekeke~~~~ see food diet. :oops:
eh. boil/steam frozen corn.
then add rice to it.
then stir in an egg.
sprinkle LOTS of cayenne/chili powder on it.

As a substittute for meat, eat more beans.
Meat contains essential amino acids that the body canot produce, u can eat try complementry diet like milk and cereals. SO that u get the necessery nutrients from them. Since u cannot drink milk, try soya bean and cereal, i dunno wad it will taste like:lol:
toufu is also a good alternative for meat
ALso a bottle of 151 a day will help
Believe me(except for the 151 part), i take food and nutrition for o level this year
