Cheesecake sampler sounds beary beary desirable!!
I can't complain... I get fantastic Lemon Tart, Mars Cake and Toblerone Cake from La Strada Cafe along Bridge Road, and further down, there's the famous Chimmy's with their specialty breads and their to-die-for Chocolate Eclair, Meat Rolls and Passionfruit Tarts! Mmmm!!
And breakfast... omo!!! The leisurely breakfast here is extremely decadent! Eggs done in half a dozen ways, etc. It takes the pétit out of the déjeuner!
wah, swiss air, $340 business class to BKK
that is affordable!

hmmm i'm trying to find an airline where i can have no extra fees charged to change of return date
*me mysteriously appears in a puff of smoke*
A couple of profs whom I sounded out have replied to my emails.
They both didn't want to take on my current project.... but they both have suitable projects which I might want to take up.
One of their projects sounds especially interesting..... about using bubbles to remove sludge from water. And I may even get to reuse some of my current research (using bubbles to mix water) - so my work this semester might not have all gone down the drain.
I was pretty depressed over the past few days.... now, I suddenly feel better.

Good luck. You're probably not going to find an airline that doesn't charge extra for a ticket with an open-ended return date.

Stock futures here have been trading up, and that's usually a reliable indication of where stocks will be heading during the regular trading day.
I'm predicting a day of wild gains on Wall Street today...
