i think there would be violence if i tried to tutor anyone
Well, I would far rather earn a pittance to tutor a hardworking and diligent student than to earn bucketloads teaching a spoilt brat.
I've got the best of both worlds.... my student/cousin has the right kind of attitude towards her studies, and my aunt pays me pretty well to teach her.
Which other part-time job allows me to earn $350/month just by sitting down and teaching for two hours per week?

Good on you, fudgie! You're really diligent.
I got back from town not too long ago. It was a very eventful night.
First, as I walked past a 7-Eleven's, I witnessed a man walk right in, grab a bottle of drink, and just run out of the store without paying!! The store staff gave chase, caught hold of him and shouted at him. The two members of staff happened to be Indians. The man was so bold and lackadaisical about it, he thought they'd lose him in the crowd so he just sauntered casually with his girlfriend so he was promptly caught. Two other ladies in his group just stood by and giggled the whole time. Someone ought to smack them all!
Then, whilst waiting for my tram, I witnessed a man take off his shirt, then stand in the middle of the tram track waving his shirt around. He didn't budge when the trams sounded their horns at him.
Why are there so many bloody idiots around?

I guess for now I might go into low-impact activities for a while.

By the way.... I checked out glucosamine at a Guardian pharmacy just now.....
It costs something like $40 for a small bottle! Ouch!
Is it really good for repairing damaged cartilage?

The night before the AHM, it rained heavily.
It didn't rain during the actual event.... but the Padang was so muddy and waterlogged that my shoes were already soaked before I even got to the starting line.
It was the perfect recipe for blisters - which I got.

there are beach and cross country sections .... I'm gonna wear an old pair of shoes ....
