just ate the following.
2 cheese chicken sausaged fried in olive oil
2 sunny side up eggs fried in olive oil
3 pieces of whole grain bread was used to hold the sausage and eggs.
drinking a glass of ice cold cammomile tea now.

again it depends.
if your training and recovery requires a very large intake of protein and nutrients, the supplements make it a lot easier to get it all down with less stress to the digestive system. and wallet. not to mention time saved.
And yes, these are not meant to replace solid food at mealtimes.
