that reminds me....
I was walking home and stopped at a traffic light in geylang.
Saw a red nissan march turning into my right, and the driver is a grey robed monk and he was eating a char siew bun while turning the car...with no seat belt on......

The cynic in me says yeah. Churches here are tax-exempt too right?

I state the following with no offence or malice intended:
My Human Resources Management lecturer did that to us once.... in the last five minutes of her final class, she quoted us passages from the Bible....
I thought she was going to tell us about how some passages from the Bible can apply to HR management.... you know, about being nice to others and stuff...
Instead, she started promoting her beliefs and said that 'You non-Christians are doomed to not see the Kingdom of Heaven unless you join us'....and what not...
We were all trying hard to keep a straight face.
Needless to say, I blasted her thoroughly in the post-semester survey for those five minutes of madness.... which is just too bad, because she was otherwise a good lecturer.
I'm just glad that people like her are in the minority.
i am going to have mango and fruits for lunch...:)
must slim down..!

yeah, that ren ci thingy ..... the man's an ex rafflesian I believe ......
well ... I'm suspicious of "men of god" who are far richer than their congregations ... I mean ... why would a "man of god" need to get around in a merc, or a beemer ? ....
maybe its just me ... but my initial contact with church was through fathers who've taken the vow of poverty (and celibacy) .... some of them don't even drive, which, in north america, is really something ....

psst... fruit actually calories damned high due to high levels of sugar..
and sugar is sugar.. there is no difference between the calorie count for pure refined sugar and fruit sugar..

I was livid when I found out that some of the vendors schools have been hiring to teach sex education to students were in fact christian linked organisations teaching abstinence and telling the kids they'll go to hell if they don't convert.
Needless to say, a lot of unhappy kids and parents was the result.
