No wonder u have such strong feelings. Dun think like that about your cat. Think that u have raised it, and in return , ur cat fed a hungry Thai.. u should feel proud of urself. Feel proud for ur cat too..
Did you never watch Le Grand Chef, the popular Korean movie? The poor chef cried buckets when he had to sacrifice his hand-reared cow in the end. How can one ever keep a pet, and then eat it?!
Rearing is different because there's no emotional attachments there... but we're talking about pets!!!

LoL.. i only watched the 3 pretty boy koreans and a bakery. haha
Well, i know we rear it and then we have attachments. but we cannot let our emotions get in the way of the purpose of the animal. its purpose is to serve and obey us. And what better way to serve thier maters by filling up our stomaches ? its an honour. Better then being killed or eaten by unknown people.. like Cows into steak n cheese pies.;p
Homer and Mr Pinchy, his pet lobster which was accidentally cooked after Homer put the fella in a sauna...

lobster bisque
Ooh! I tried that before at some posh company year-end celebration. I felt a bit sorry that high-quality lobster had been processed to death for that dish. I'd rather they have just steamed it, or cooked it in another way that leaves the lovely lobster flesh intact for full enjoyment. I mean, I wanna dig the flesh out of the shell, or at least, have the flesh cut up neatly into chunks where you can really taste lobster, not in some bisque where you can smell lobster, but it's all liquidised into some heavily-creamed soup that the French then proudly present amidst much fanfare.
And yeah... the topic has inevitably switched to food!
I didn't even notice how badly this thread has derailed, but it comes as no suprise

Me too . ;p
What I would cut back on:
i dun on aircon so much liao.
i avoid taking cab if i can.
eat less at posh restaurants and go food court/hawker centre makan.
I'd cut back on the sweetened drinks at hawker centres and food courts too if I hadn't already done so. Too much sugar - urgh. Starbucks and other coffee chains have horribly-overpriced items as well.
I just bought my first packet of budget cigarettes ....
i dont wash clothes until i have a full load
$1.25 to wash. another $1.25 to dry. tmd...everytime wash clothes is byebye to $2.50
air dry lah. and wash at home. but it takes a long time.

Huh? There's not a whole lot of lobster meat that actually goes into a bisque. I use about 1/4 kg plus shells for about 6 serves.
Anyway, back to topic. I was thinking of getting a Canon 5D Mark II, but I might just settle for a 50D - I just can't justify switching to full-frame lenses at the moment.
