Carlsberg Gold currently only seen in quart 633ml bottle
alcohol vol 5.5%...
haven't tried it yet, but heard it's marketed towards e Heineken crowd
We don't normally get our hopes high when it comes to Carlsberg though.
For months now, I've sensed this curiosity slowly building up in me... I've been reading a bit here and there about a few featured Australian wines and I think I'd really love to try them, plus they might help me sleep a little better at night, so on the nights preceding my days off, I think I might try the featured wines and start to learn more.
I'll definitely go for the 'fruity' or 'flowery' wines first. I still can't forget my first bottle of Brown Brothers Orange Muscat and Flora, for which I had to purchase my very first corkscrew.
Next, I wanna try the Juliet range of wines. And then there's the Brown Brothers' 2007 Vermentino and Dry Muscat...
Vermentino :
This wine has refreshing lifted aromas of peach, passionfruit and tropical fruits and a slight hint of acid provides a crisp, yet delicate finish.
2007 Dry Muscat :
Smells like freshly crushed grapes! Fruity, musky flavour – fresh and lively. Serve very chilled.
And mmmm... my favourite and discovery of the year - 2008 Orange Muscat and Flora!
Orange Muscat and Flora is a blend unique to Brown Brothers. Orange Muscat forms the backbone of the blend providing aromas of orange blossom to the nose and a fresh citrus hint to the palate, while the Flora contributes colour, texture and mouth-feel to the palate. The current release displays a vibrant yellow colour and a lifted nose showing aromas of citrus blossom, spice and musk. The palate is fresh and tangy with a zesty long clean balanced finish.
I love the bottle shops here! There are about 6-7 in my neighbourhood and one of them is huuuuuuuuge, almost like Jelita's Cold Storage in size, but all they sell is booze, booze, and more booze!!
OK, maybe I shall go start my very own thread chronicling my Wine Discovery Odyssey! (How the hell do you spell the last word?!)

x2
Btw if you like sweet fruity wines Rhonda, go for Riesling. Very easy on the palate

I'd recommend Gewurztraminer over Riesling.

are you tending to ICU patients nowadays??
I have no idea, that's what I was told .....
maybe, it's the stuff without the wormwood oil inside ? ....
absinthe nearly got me a DUI in pluto ... the stuff's dangerous ...
wormwood or not, you're tasting the stuff again during the barbeque
