its funny when we get emails by people trying hard to impress with their use of language but getting it all wrong.
one time my colleague got a really bad one and asked me if I could figure out WTF the guy was trying to tell us. thing is, this colleague of mine taught english!

i know one of my colleagues can't speak english for nuts
and they literally translate their sentences from chinese, word for word.
"no horse run"
"when the gentleman speaks, 4 hourse hard to chase"
and i can't remember what else...
then you have the horrible words like "United Estate" when he meant "United States"
and "Hamsterdam" when he wanted to say "Amsterdam"

I had one letter where it looked like the person tried to randomly insert some long and chim sounding word every few words. I gave up reading halfway.......

you've seen those people handing out flyers for language schools?
i took one with a business reply behind, and with a red pen, i corrected their grammar, spelling and all that.. the bloody flyer was full of red ink..
then i posted the thing back to them

wah liao eh... she nvr swim naked wat! >.<my guy friend teacher said once his student ask him if he was at boat quay pub on sat nite... he lied saying he's at home, why? apparently the kid's mother saw him... he asked the kid, and whr is ur mum thr?
seriously teacher is also human wat... as long as they do their job well and actually TEACH... who are the parents to say anything abt their private life? unless the teacher talk abt the clubbing/swinging or watever he/she does in class lah...

lan jiao lah, lots of singaporeans are hypocrites one. the ones making the most noise about 'values' and 'being conservative' are often the most fucked up deep down inside. -
You'll be quite surprise to find that a lot of the Aussies don't know how to use punctuation properly.
Instead of you're, they use "your"..... etc

same case for a lot of americans. despite english being a native langauge, they don't do it well.
anyway, I wish we could change national language to english so we con't have to explain we are actually english speaking and not malay speaking during applications for international things.......
