i have to leave this section...
it's like my mantra..
i have leave and excess hours but i have to be in the office...
if i was in another section, anywhere else, i'd have planned out my leave.. even right now, i can't... because things keep popping out which we have no control over and i have to be around to handle it..
it seems like the moment i plan the leave, things pop up..
either that or my insane boss will scuttle the plans..

have a lot of leave is one thing can clear or not is another. people at my place throw away leave all the time, and we still hate the NNBCCB HR for removing the old scheme which allowed us to sell a portion of our leave.

i get about 24 a year and carry forward 1/2 of that. but looks like i'll be carrying forward about 20 - officially it'll be 12 and the 8 will be off the records.

the assholes actually asked me if i wanted to give up 7 day of my 28 days...
i asked if we'd be compensated for opting to lose that 7 days of leave and they said no.. i laughed hysterically at them...
guess what? my insane boss did that.. she has 21 days because she opted to forgo that 7 days!! (told you she was barking mad)
the newer occifers get 17 days.. and after 10 years of service get 21
the junior occifers get 14 and then dunno how many after certain years of service..

my 1st job in govt (or issit semi, watever lah), i start with 21 days... suka suka take leave stay home sleep... hahahaha

anyway yeah public sector getting quite bad. sick days also only 14 now i think. + no health care.
actually that has been the trend for quite awhile i think last time was 32 days leave then drop to 28 then 21 and 18 for public sector.......
