No. mals and sibes are different as day and night.
Mals are generally a head bigger den sibes/husky.
On a general basis, the mal's space between the head is ard 1 palm, a husky's ard 3 fingers.
Their breed nature is different as well. den again, it also depends alot on the parents of the dogs.
Psst... my girl's breeder had a litter recently, u interested? Chances are most if not all are of show quality...

This might help.
Husky is more of a pack animal den Mals... at least tats how i feel aft meeting them and chattin wif owners.
Btw, this statement quite true
"Tell a Golden Retriever to sit and he will. Tell an Alaskan Malamute (or a Siberian) to sit and he may run in a circle around you. He may woo-woo at you. He may ignore you. He may jump up, jump over the gates, retrieve the dumbbell from the next ring, jump back across the gates, and present it to you. He may actually sit. However, harness a Golden and tell him "Gee" and he will turn right. The Malamute will wait for the opening in the trees... "
I was quite surprised one of the winners of the agility was a husky at one of the prev dog shows/

for those interested in getting mal & sibs can go
http://www.spca.org.sg/gallerydog1.html
they need a home..
Oh ya, before u get a mal or a sibe
please note - they SHED. Whole year round.
HEAVY sheddin twice a year. And i mean shedding as in you can pluck the loose fur out of the dog like plucking chicken, and balls of cotton rolling ard.
I've had a rehoming case whereby i overheard someone telling another..
"husky good. dun shed"
needless to say, strike off the list of potential-owners-to-be.

Yeah... it's been said that Chow Chow's, Huskies and Malamutes are not dogs suitable for 1st-time dog owners because they won't obey you everytime.
A Singaporean friend and I spent more than an hour yesterday evening sitting at the park bench, watching the owners and their dogs. We laughed a lot because it was fun watching the dogs having fun. We both agreed that most dogs in Singapore have behavioural issues compared to the ones here. We guess it's because of the lack of space, exercise and freedom back in Singapore.

It's not the lack of space seriously
It's just that most Singaporeans don't train their dogs!
Now imagine that it's not a puppy but a small child
Which I think also explains why there are so much children behavourial problems -_-"

Yeah, you're right. People keep dogs and have kids without considering whether or not they will actually invest the time needed to teach and discipline them. In the end, what you have are worse than the monkeys in the zoo, which are more well-behaved than what you can say for a lot of the Singaporean kids these days.
Seriously speaking, the dogs here are treated like family members BUT they are not spoilt rotten. There's a huge difference. The dogs all seem to be well-adjusted. They run around the park without leashes, and they do not bite anyone nor other dogs. They interact well with the other dogs, sometimes they play together by chasing each other, or they play fetch with their owners, and generally, they are very lovely and amusing to watch because they are so happy and they all keep to the 'doggy rules'. My Singaporean friend was saying that back in SG, she wouldn't dare touch any dog that came up to her because they might be "siow gow"s who'll bite her!
I remember the irritating dogs barking a lot back in SG, especially those irritating toy breeds kept in HDB apartments. And when an ex-colleague said she was going to keep a Husky and she lives in a 4-bedroom apartment, I told her outright that she was being very cruel to the dog. The dog did end up with a lot of behavioural issues, chewing and destroying things in the house up to adulthood.
Yesh.... it's abt training.
Even if u send the dog for obdience classes, it's about teaching the owners how to interact wif the dog, when to correct the dog, when to praise.
Picture this, we even have to TEACH ppl how to pick poop, and the owners replied "What for pick? My dog poop is fertilizer ok!"
Sove a plastic bag at them and they went - "Make me." and a whole string of nasty sound words emerged from the seemingly educated lips.
Space? I have 2 bigger dogs, and both are in apts, going for long walks daily, and if we can afford the time, dog runs or some doggy pool at least once a mth.
And one of which is a sibe.... the run-away-dog - and they can be less destructive den those who have a garden to romp in.
There are dog runs and beaches, and retractable leashes - so no excuses for lack of space and freedom ad exercise!
Anyone can pet my girls - provided you can look past the nice sharp white toothy grin
Is the frenchie still avail? I'm interested, have experience with them and I'm not in an hdb. Do you have more info or someone I can contact?
Not available anymore.
