The most touching real life love story I know ....

Just came back from a meet up with a friend ......
and I just got to hear about this ......
my friend X ... one of the nicest, the most steadfast, the most easy going, the most even tempered friend I've had the good fortune to know, just got engaged to a girl ....
unfortunately, there's a little fly in the ointment ...... the lucky girl in question was afflicted with a disability, she's got cerebal palsy, and paraplegia ....
but as they say .... true love knows no boundaries ....... they got engaged recently, and I guess they'd get married soon .....
I dunno how that would affect their lives together, and their chances of having offsprings .... but I'll be praying for their happiness ....
this is such a touching story it gives you that sweet, sour feeling in your chest and you feel tears welling up .....

True love indeed.Though the girl may suffer the misfortune of a disability, he found himself a man who is willing to love her wholeheartedly and unconditionally.
I wish the best for them and may they see through their challenges ahead bravely.

If you guys duno what paraplegia is, it is the impairment of motor/sensory functions of the lower extremities. May be serious or very mild. Sometimes you wont even notice that the person had cerebral palsy.

it's quite a bit different from standing by one's partner when something bad happens later in a union .......

my ex classmate who also has cerebal palsy and paraplegia , also found a girlfriend recently.. aside from his speech and motorskill problem, he thinks like any normal person. but his girlfriend has to be very patient, cause he takes ages to say one sentence, and he cant do simple tasks like opening a can of coke. but i have to say, having a girlfriend changed him alot, he used to suffer from depression, now he is a much happier person.

I have never met the girl before, only seen her through some facebook pictures. She looks ...... normal ....

i'm not exactly sure if its for all cerebal palsy cases or for just the milder kind. he looks perfectly normal. its only movement problems.. besides not being able to control his hand well, he also cant really walk very steadily. we all have to be very patient when we go out with him.. dinner can be disaster... hmm... -

cerebral palsy is very wide spectrum disability, because it depends on which part of the brain was damaged.
so it can range from very mild physical disability, to severe physical and intellectual disability.
