Probably crowded like nobody's biz. If it's a beach hol, I could think of at least 3 other places other than Phuket.

definitely crowded. I was thinking of the gastronomic delights to be had, but I guess stuff like tripe soup and wasp larvae is not your cup of tea

Oh Bear since you're around, ever been to Pangkor Laut or Tanjung Jara? Both are excellent picks for a romantic getaway. You guys will absolutely love it - guaranteed!

my friend's wifey was telling me about tanjong pinang on sunday .... she went there on a ladies only trip .... supposedly very cheap, and the beaches and reefs are as good as tioman's ......

Not like my com is any better....is getting a bit bizarre.
Not one problem is the same one.
KNN, just now, open window, I got the window but with zero content.
Tried to play music, cannot play.
Frustrated I tried to open task manager to go and sort it out, cannot open.
Dunno wtf my com wants.

Where's Tanjung Pinang? Oh yeah, sometimes you can get pretty good deals for Tanjung Jara - 3d/2n with all meals included and 2 spa treatments. Pangkor Laut is a bit more exp but you can still get packages.

Haven't been to Redang in years! Heard it's getting a bit crowded as well. Someone suggested a nearby island - Perhentian instead of Redang.

That's the trouble with finding undiscovered places - everything starts to go downhill once they're revealed to the rest of the world. Redang was relatively unspoilt when I read about it 10 years ago.

perhentian has hordes of lobsters on the reefs at night ....
yeah, I hear redang's getting very very crowded as well ... got to book your hols well in advance in the peak season, else you can stay at home ...
