I remember there is a old thread, but cant seem to find it. So I started another one.

Treat this as something to take stock of your stash of shoes for CNY 2009?

Have you folks also shoped for CNY shoes yet?

2 pairs of Mules for the office

1 pair of ankle boots (die die will wear it with pants and long hem.)

1 pair of slippers for public bathroom showering

As for me, I have one pair of each of the following:

New Balance 380 (army-issued)
New Balance 825, black
Some made-in-Vietnam Nike trainers in what, blue and grey
Geox Respira
Reebok *can't remember* in light grey
Havaianas sandals, purple
Braziliano Praia slippers
Some black Bata canvas thing
Goretex marching boots
Normal black leather marching boots (army-issued)
Old CAT trekking shoes, now a faded black

Eh... don't be like that leh!

I'll break it down for you so it seems 'reasonable'...

1 pair of Pink and White sneakers, awating to be discarded but I love the design...

1 pair of sneakers for work only

2 pairs of sneakers for work (during Summer)

1 pair of Boots

2 pairs of Platform Shoes to wear to the backyard or to 7-Eleven's

3 pairs of standby sneakers for work (don't like them much cause they aren't comfortable)

1 pair of red low-heeled shoes that I haven't worn

1 pair of Red and White casual shoes (my top favourite!)

The rest are slippers and sandals for Summertime.

I need to get at least one more pair of boots for this Winter because the one I have now is not comfortable at all and I can't walk long in it.

I also need a pair of proper running shoes because I do not want to sustain joint injuries. Proper running shoes give you that little extra bounce in every step! Niiice!

I think I ended up with this many pairs of shoes because when I don't feel comfortable in a pair, I stop wearing it and get another pair.

For my summer slippers and sandals, it's because I bought them in dirt-cheap sales.

Now, I justify all this by saying that for years, when in Singapore, I could never easily find shoes for my feet because I've got large feet. I could only wear 'auntie' shoes because when I enter a shoe shop, I can't choose the designs but rather, have to ask, "Which designs come in my size?" which would inevitably be awful designs.

So... now that I'm here, I can finally get all the lovely shoes I want!!

I will not wear high heels though - I've seen mom's bunions, and also met patients who had to undergo surgery to remove their bunions or correct foot problems due to years of wearing high heels, so no thanks! Besides, I can't walk as much as I do on heels, not comfortably, of course. I'd rather walk comfortably and have good healthy feet than balance on stilts just so I can turn the horny men on.

Besides, when you have to run from drug addicts or what-not, you'll run much faster in sneakers than on heels. Plus, you can hide somewhere quietly too!

actually i dun have TAT much shoes lah...

1x flats pump (tat i wear to work)

1x slippers (tat i wear to throw rubbish)

1x casual flats

1x tie up wedges

1x 3" ankle boots

1x 3" fake snake skin stilettos (seldom wear)

1x 3" black heels (which hurts)

1x 3" black & white heels (which also hurts)

1x 1" dress heels (which i seldom got occasion to wear and it's too low)

see?! shoes not enough!!!!!!
