my father told me back in the early 90's they were very famous for their buddha jump over the wall..even had to order it 1 day in advance..

the suckling pig is nice just TOO SMALL >.<
shark head i like!! salted egg crabs... the other crab not as nice... braised goose is nice too, the tau gua very "braised" heheehee
but orh nee is a disappointment, not the best i eaten :P

I loved both crabs hahahaha. And shrek's not eating all his roe means I are more than my fair share of the stuff. don't forget the kong bah pao !! -
my folks going to ask about buying good yam paste..
it's just yam paste.. no pumpkin paste in it..
but that's an option..
make your own rendered lard and shallots fried in the lard and mix in on your own..
they're all packed in vacuum-sealed boxes.. put in the freezer, microwave when you want to eat..
hope they still make the stuff..

was telling av the teochew restaurant in chinatown... the orh nee is w/o the milk thingy de... just a layer of oil and sugar, with pumpkin paste.... *drool*

i oso dun like the shark head.. KB cut me a small slice and i tested it.. i have to quickly let it glide down my throat...:(
i dun even eat sea cucumber..:(
But i enjoy the salted egg crab and Orh Nee a lot..

Looks freaking good, I shall bring my family over for a meal and tell my family members they shouldnt eat that much coz of the high cholestrol and I shall proceed to finish all of em!

I think this is one of the rare outings where it's like what? $39 bucks per person???
Ferret kept asking me if we got back the correct amount of money because she is used to seeing like $50 bucks and above
My bad... they have the Pumpkin version for the orh nee
But when it was over the phone I couldn't make out what the lady was telling me but I understood what was bai guo :x
