But I don't think I stupid enough to believe that, don't think nurses are authorized to give injections without doctors approval.
Maybe I start singing those 50s chinese songs when you walk out of the room, stop singing when you walk in.
Sorry ah, I'm experienced enough to differentiate between ghostly singing from the nether world and someone karaoke'ing!
Doctors sometimes write 'prn' (when necessary) drug orders for patients so we won't give those medications / injections until the need arises. I think the use of meds is much stricter in Singapore. Here in Australia, biangz... sometimes I feel like I'm a waitress for the drug addicts.
Arh yes....the police officers on ground patrols use the term 'witching hour' too.
My ghost encounters are usually not happening at hospitals. Or possession encounters, they usually happens during police patrols.

Yeah... or Bear calls it 'narcolepsy'.
I think it's when you kinda wake up when you are still in REM or something so you're conscious, but not fully awake. So you can 'see' things, but your eyes aren't open, you can hear and feel things, but you cannot move yet. It's like you're suspended in the world between sleep and wakefulness. Can be quite scary.

I used to get that too, it was in my old house.
I doubt it's sleep paralysis (when your mind wakes while your body is still sleeping), because when I moved house, this problem stopped immediately. The only other time I had this encounter in the new house was during 7th month, after that, no more encounters.
If it's sleep paralysis, it's biological and it would have persisted in my new house too.
When I was in the old house, I used to go out very late. Sometimes me and the neighbourhood kids will play hide and seek in the old Toa Payoh Hospital, we even hid outside the morgue.
During one of my "your so called sleep paralysis", I heard a Malay man chanting.

Did you watch "Awake" starring Jessica Alba?
Quite an interesting show. Maybe you shouldn't watch since you are a nurse, might give you some weird ideas.

where was the old formation camp ?
Hmm... Actually, sometime around Oct 2007, I started to see this dark figure in my home on certain nights. It scared the bejesus outta me! Twice I went to sleep and felt someone patting my mattress three times - Pat! Pat! Pat!! I was so frightened, it took some time before I opened my eyes and I had to whisper to whatever it was to just leave me alone, I mean no harm. I didn't exactly see 'it', but something told me it was a mischievous little boy-ghost.
I was so frightened with the dark figure I constantly saw in my living room, I went to seek help through various channels. Finally, someone told me that I had met a new friend recently and he's a very sad soul because he had associated himself with an ex-girlfriend who used to dabble in the dark arts and by associating with her, a dark spirit had clung to him and when I associated with him, I brought that spirit home with me! No wonder everytime I visited him at his place, I could sense an aura of doom and misery and I just felt his place was 'dark', not as in dim lighting but it was just ... 'dark'.
Heng ah whatever she taught me to do seemed to solve the problem.

I kenna once at my old place during the 7th month before
I woke up drenched in sweat and I was blasting my air-con too
I could hear someone talking to me in a foreign language in my ear
It sounded very urgently and desperate and I couldn't move or scream so I prayed and it just faded away
I went to take a shower coz I was totally soaked through in a 20oC air-con room :x
Actually, speaking of possession, one of my Singapore nurse friends told me of her very frightening encounter with a patient and it was so creepy that all her colleagues also agreed that it was an undeniable case of possession.

Any books you can find on dream control , creative dreaming or how to understand the mind when the body is asleep might help you understand and overcome your fear better...then you can tell the chanting malay man to relac one ocrner and allow you proper rest.

If I die from fright after watching it, I will return to haunt you, ah!
What's your address? Oh, nevermind... ghosts don't need addresses one... they have a built-in GPS!

Oh ya I know what you mean
Some places is just so 'Ying' that no matter how many lights you turn on, it just looks dark
I had the same experience in a hotel in Penang.
That night I slept with all the lights on coz the room feels weird
But nothing happened la or it means the ghost couldn't wake me up at all
Originally posted by Fatum:was that the thing that was causing your sleeping problems ? ...
Yes. It caused things to worsen drastically and caused a downward spiral. You still remember what I told you ah. You so sweet!

YES!!! I have blinds in my living room and usually at night, I can see faint light coming through the blinds because there's a street lamp nearby.
But on certain nights, it was PITCH BLACK!!! It was like a black hole and I'd cower in bed, extremely frightened! Either that, or I'd see this dark figure of man standing there, near the door to my bedroom! Then on those two occasions when I felt the three taps on my mattress, I was too scared to move!!
I was thinking if you go to IMH and look at the loonies ....
you suppose some of them were actually posessed instead of being a vanilla siao lang ? ...

These days these stuff don't mess with me, because I can force them out instantaneously without the need to relax (so that the thing can flow out).
They know they can't mess with me anymore.

Hmm... something about ants all over the patient's bed, but they couldn't find any on the floor or on the wall or anywhere else! All the other patients in the same room were alright but this patient kept having ants suddenly appear on the bed crawling all over him/her.
Think something else happened to this patient but I can't remember. Anyways, all the nurses agreed it appeared to be a spell / possession.

I had a very very frightening encounter once that spooked my colleagues too. We had a long-term patient, an elderly Chinese lady who's lost her wits and is crazy, stay with us for a long time. Because she was nuts, we had to restrain her and she used to scream and yell and kick and curse at us. Months later, after a few hospital admissions, in and out, she passed away in our ward. A few days later, when I was working nights, I was writing my report when I drifted off to sleep without realising it (I was still holding my pen upright ). I saw her standing at the corner, pointing at me and scolding me for restraining her. Then like a ghost, she moved closer and closer to my counter! Suddenly, I gasped very loudly and snapped out of it. My colleagues at the counter were alarmed, all looked at me and asked me what happened. I told them and they said, if I see her in my dreams again, just tell her that she was crazy so no choice, we had to restrain her lor.
Reminds me of "The Eye" movie. The actress was seated, trying to learn caligraphy from where she saw someone standing at the corner or the room. That "someone" said "why are you sitting in my chair!" Then suddenly the "someone" dart towards her with arm outstretched!
I guess me quite lucky. Never had any serious encounters in any hospitals or army camps. The most spooky was having the feeling something else was around, and noises & knockings in a hotel room.

Yes, won't be surprised. But they'd still be diagnosed under one of the psychiatric ailments because that's just the way it is.
I admire the Psych nurses for their tenacity.

Oh you told me this story before
And you told me this happened only at a certain time and they will just disappear after a certain time and this happened everyday
