My bro, sis-in-law and my niece, together with my bro's in-laws are all in Sydney so they are probably having Reunion Dinner now with their relatives there.
They are flying down to Melbourne mid-week so I will FINALLY get to meet my baby niece!
Mom kept saying she's quite like me, a bit dao-dao like that. 
I hope she will let me carry her because I heard that she is extremely fussy.

My weekend's been pretty good, thanks! Because it's the CNY and because I'm not with family, I've allowed myself to eat nice stuff.
I was thinking of going up to Boxhill to see if I could purchase the Malaysian Love Letters and Pineapple Tarts at a discounted rate but a friend drove me up to a restaurant owned by a Singaporean family here to eat instead.

Argh! My prickly heat rash on my neck is so bad that my neighbour just asked me what it was.
I was hoping it wouldn't be that obvious but it really looked like I tried to hang myself because there's this awful dark red line right across my neck and then red patches all over the neck! Looks so awful!! -
It's still early for dinner leh. Just 545 now. Dinner is 7 so "free and easy" time for everyone. Hey why don't you gather some friends for dinner or something. Am pretty sure there're loads who can't make it back for CNY.

Oh yeah... but to be frank, I'm pretty ok with my own company and I don't mind being alone. I've gone out for CNY dinners with folks here before. I don't really miss it. Anyways, a friend did drive me to a restaurant just now where I had Mee Rebus and I ta bao'd Char Kuay Teow and Singapore Rojak whilst she had Nasi Lemak and Ice Kachang and I'm soooo full now I can't move.
And I haven't even touched my Char Kuay Teow yet! cassie, do you have a large crowd in your home?

Nah just parents and siblings (and partners). Thank god it's a low key affair! Actually CNY is no biggie for me - just another 2 days of hols, minus the dinner.

I guess we're all grown up now, that's why. I remember as a child, it was a great time looking forward to CNY and then when Reunion Dinner came, it was like a big thing. And of course, on New Year's, there's the ang pows and new clothes and all. I think children think of CNY differently.

Actually I've never been for one for biggie events etc. Even when I was a kid - guess we've been brought up that way. Low key, no showy biz. Kinda lazy but gotta hit the showers soon and get ready. Yeah, if memory recalls, the 'Warning: Hot Coffee' on McCrap's coffee cups was because of some lawsuit years ago.
The story goes that some stupid woman bought some coffee from a McCrap drive-through. She placed the cup full of scalding-hot coffee between her thighs.
Then when she accelerated away, the inertia caused the coffee to spill, causing third-degree burns over her thighs and crotch.
She successfully sued McCrap.
Damn...... talk about a total lack of personal responsibility.
