  yeah.. but putting something there lulls the user into complacency...

  they figure it's part of the ATM.. while it is so easy for someone to put a skimmer on it disguised as the "security item"

  why is it they don't tell everyone that the slot should be flush.. and no "item" to be stuck on the machine.. instead of adding more bits and pieces to it?

  There's one in a window on top of the contraption, and it should fade in or out depending on how you look at it.

  Going to the IT show later tonight. Gonna get me an external HDD.... say, 3.5", 500GB, packaged together with auto backup and synchronization software.

  Also thinking of getting myself a DSLR for my high-speed visualization experiments.

  I'm thinking of the D60, because I'm thinking that a lot of the extra features that the D90 has are gimmicky (Live View, HD video recording, etc)..... kinda not worth the extra dosh.

  I don't know.... should I just stick to the basic D60 or go full hog and get the D90?

  i would prefer the D60, its a good holiday DSLR camera.

  but manual control wise, i would prefer the d90 because there is a dial at the index finger part.

  but that isn't much of an issue.
