at risk of sounding like a curse, I hope your comp doesn't hang or get shutdown by someone. Remember when I was doing some simulation over night and some idiot with itchy fingers went and rebooted the comp............

whenever I have to leave a computer on overnight for video rendering, I'd paste a big sign on the monitor telling people to leave it alone. -
how come computers need to be left running overnight for rendering???
the longest i took was a few hours. -
i tried that once for something to compile stats.. it needed to pull data from 4 different servers..
the next morning i came back, the PC was dead..

And it takes so long because I'm using V-Ray, the machine is almost 4 years old and has probably never had the dust scrubbed out of its filters.

anyway needed to leave overnight cos was doing that finite element thingy. takes dam long to run it cos of all those equations.
