yep, it is. if you can get there at 7am is best actually. by 9am the sun is sibeh harsh liao. -

Back from M'sia visiting my gramma.
Her dementia is worsening.
Reading Joseph Stiglitz ranting against corporate frauds half-way, the coversation in the background was bizarre.
Aunt: Ah ma, where are you going?
Gramma: Going to light joss-stick to pray.
Aunt: I've done that, come, sit with me, ok?
Gramma: Ok......
And, 10 seconds later.....
Aunt: Where are you going again?
Gramma: Going to light joss-stick to pray.
Aunt: I've done that, come, sit with me, ok?
Gramma: Ok......
And that went on another 10 times....no kidding!

Sorry to hear that. My grandma was the same before she passed away. She kept mistaking my youngest uncle for her late husband, poor chap.

The funny thing was, there are windows during which she is lucid. And then suddenly, she isn't.But sometimes the people around her can be rude.
On a previous visit, the coverstaion went as thus.
Gramma: Where's xxx? (my cousin)
Aunt: Married already lar!
Gramma: Nonsense! (Actually he is.)
Aunt: You're nuts.
That drew a tirade from my gramma......at least, one could play along mah.......not screw her for something that's not her fault.....

always a challenging situation when you have a person with dementia in the family.
on a slightly off-topic note, when I was having my fermented beancurd at geylang yesterday, there's this chinese newspaper article on the wall claiming that fermented beancurd prevents dementia o.O

I didn't want to stay overnight.....but then, blackout. -.-"It's the first black-out in so many years and it had to happen yesterday night.

No water seems a little more common there, but no electricity is a bit more unusual. -
was the car in the compound? else you could have climb across the gate. [p.s. i've done something similar before] or take the back gate.
