that sounds like what my sis does. her secretary reminds her a day prior to a schedule drill or on the day itself and she conveniently goes to starbucks until the drill the over. -
I worked for a listed local company before
And they are anal enough to make all the managers responsible for the attendance of employees.
Even the sales people had to be around

at least you were in the tropics, right?we once had a drill for our dorm in the middle of the night in dead set winter!

oh yeah.. talking about being drunk during a fire drill..
my uni hostel had a fire drill.. sirens, people yelling at us to get out, the works...
my roommates and i didn't even know because we were so dead drunk that we slept through it
