  question : how to reject the hotel nicely, they are giving me a complimentary night stay in bkk, which i know we will not select it for our event. I had politely tell the hotel sales manager that your hotel room rate is way too high and we may not short-list them at all....

  yup, its in the city center.

  suppose to find a hotel, room rate not too expensive, walking distance to shopping center, restaurant, massage place - all these to benefit the people who are attending the conference.

  for me, i am given less than $20k(food and conference & meeting rooms) to organise a half day conference plus dinner, need a conference room that can sit comfortably 140pax...
