Hey, look what the wind blew in!How are things going at your end? And you still haven't revealed what big-ticket item you bought recently.
Only because you haven't check the right "station" :P
Things are busy here. I have one child in summer school which starts earlier than regular school. The other's on his last week of school and waiting to go on the 8th grade field trip. I have orders to fill for my small craft biz. I also have 3 shifts at the annual county fair which I have to get ready for, among other things I'm juggling. On the plus side, I'm waiting with bated breath for my first massage session tomorrow. My first in 5 years!
but the PRC ppl here loves to buy those instant noodles from their hometown
But I'm shocked over e price... $3.50!!! Myojo or CQYD cost $2.20 e most

Right "station"? You mean FB? Didn't see anything there....
Sounds like you've got a full plate of activities for your summer! Are you planning on doing any travelling as well?
Edit: Okay, nevermind. I'm reading about your new Jeep over at the correct station...

hahaaha!!!!
We were thinking of heading up to Seattle but we are trying to buy a house in this frenzied buyer's market. The going has been fraught with drama and disappointment. So the trip's been shelved. We were so tired driving up to SFO this past spring that we're questioning our judgement to even think about driving up to Seattle. That's a l-o-n-g drive.

Did you get the Jeep new or used?
I've been toying with the idea of getting a new house too to take advantage of the current housing market conditions. Problem is trying to get rid of the current one--I'm not willing to sell it at a huge loss.

Ha ha! The wonders of (less than) subliminal suggestion.
22 days and counting down for the Nihon trip!

It's an 02, stick shift. I've always wanted a Jeep. We can only park 2 cars in the garage so one of the cars will have to be parked in the common lots. We've had a couple of car break-ins over the three years we've lived in this complex so the urge to move into a SFH is even more urgent.

When I'm not feeling so fat, I'll use coconut milk. I can get the canned stuff pretty easily here. More often than not, I'll use evaporated milk. Doesn't quite taste the same as the sinful version though.

I have yet to take a pic of it, come to think of it. I bought it used. It's an 02 and with tax, licensing and documentation fees, we paid about US$7500. They initially wanted $10995 for it and slashed the price to $7995 (before tax, licensing and doc. fees) for their big sale. It came with 83000 miles on the odometer. I hate the burgundy body colour though.
When I got home, I checked kbb.com and they priced it at $6K.

Ask VK to let you tag along on her next visit here. She loves San Diego, she says. Better than the boring surburbs her sis lives in.
