marc we are serious that you h add the post to gather the name.. can i put u in the salsa team?
For the boys, do take on salsa lessons.
It really helps if you boys knows your moves, because the female side, only need to know some basic and they should be able to partner you, no matter your level.
Because in dances, its the guys that have to be macho and lead. The females are only suppose to comply and compliment the guy's moves.

It's for beginners BTW.
Depending on who is my partner.Do I get pedobear as my partner?

My ex-wife loves dancing and we also met on the disco floor at Khameleon(singapore).I remember it was lambada at that time until we had our son and gradually it became Lamcha-cha,sometimes wild but most of the time wan -dowan.

Its not that no people are interested.
Their timing just does not really coincide with your timing.
Why not just attend normal classes individually, and get to know more new friends from there?
A guy like you, needs no deadweights that will hold you down in your interests.
Go take on the classes! Take pics when you can and post in your facebook and so on!

when you put it on slow motion you get the hawaian dance and super fast forward to belly dancing. All the char kway tiow and soup kambing in your belly sure disappear one.
If you're really interested to learn salsa, just go for the classes. You don't need kakis to take lessons together. The whole thing about salsa that makes it different from latin or ballroom is that you don't need a fixed partner.
To see what salsa is all about in Singapore, head down to Union Square at Amara. It's on the 2nd floor and is open daily except Sundays. Ladies Night on Wednesdays so more girls that night.
If you want to dance socially, I recommend that you take lessons from schools that have their brochures in Union Square. Not every dance school teaches you the correct thing. A lot of schools teaches choreographed moves that you cannot execute on a social dance floor with strangers so choose the right school. Ask the right people who actually dance salsa socially and not someone who took lessons but never dance at all. If not you will not get the satisfaction and confidence which is supposed to come from dancing salsa.
Usually there are more girls in a class than guys. It is harder for the guys to learn initially but overall the guys become better dancers in the end due to the technicality requirements from proper leading and experience. Most people who take the classes are single to start off and I have seen many who end up as couples and getting married.
Singapore have a small active salsa community and every year we have our own Singapore International Salsa Festival. This year it will be in November. It can only keep going on from the growing number of salseras and salseros.
It's not difficult to learn salsa. If you can walk, you can salsa. I have been dancing salsa for slightly over 2 years and have always wondered how good it will be if I had started earlier and younger. Don't wait anymore if you really have the intention to start.
Don't worry about kakis. I started it alone. Now the whole Union Square is my kaki. And if you're shy, don't worry, I'm always around to help :)
Kalez, u go register w me leh........ Sept or Oct, me is free............
I thought one could 'take up' Salsa, but I didn't know that there's someone called 'Salsa' that you can 'pick up'.
Went for a belly dancing trail class at Tanjong Pagar recently.
Not bad.
The regular fees are more expensive, but I think its worth it. The instructor was really good.
So if I am staying in Singapore, will go for their classes.
Looking to do Bachata at JJsalsa located at Peck Siah Street coming 4th December.
If they have too many females and I dont have a male partner, might just drop me from the class.
