  Kids and the elderlies are generally more vulnerable to any flus including swine flu as they have weaker immune system.

  If you are healthy in general, you don't really have to worry too much.  Since you have asthma, just be extra cautious.  If you feel unwell (have flu-like symptoms), go and see doctor immediately.  The doctor can at least prescribe you with some anti viral tablets or something.

  That's true. Taking things in perspective, at least it ain't as bad as SARS.

  While there have been several fatalities worldwide, they are basically due to underlying medical conditions, etc, etc...

  In the end, it's all a matter of taking reasonable precautions, like going to the nearest GP directly and immediately as soon as you have flu-like symptoms.
