sadly, one of the people in the office drove up to genting with the family... along a stretch of road, ALL singapore cars were stopped...
each car was extorted RM50 "for speeding"
while malaysian cars were driving like they were trying to break the sound barrier, overtaking the singapore cars were left alone...
They gotta wear a badge on their uniform saying they're not corrupted you know?
even ppl are saying abt crimes tat goes unreported in M'sia - it's lots
many end up dun even want to report because of how e way things are done.
serious!
i'm not corrupted but i need RM50 for coffee later?

I wonder do those ppl in SC know abt it.
this is even funnier!!
Sometimes I've e feeling tat we should progress further rationally and pragmatically so that we continue to prove we're living a better life than others. The elites in PRC are now trying to figure out how did we survive so well even w/ so much constraints.
But I guess at this point, some point of complacency has set in. I end up knowing from LTA just wat e ERP is for

The FS once drove in a convoy up north..... all the lead cars were stopped and had to pay RM50 each for 'speeding'. Luckily her car was near the back of the convoy, and she didn't have to pay.
Like I told her, driving in a convoy is not necessarily safer..... if anything, those TP 'wolfpacks' see a convoy of Singapore-plate cars as a manna from heaven.
i'm still bemused and horrified at the same time about their private security people..
shotgun left unattended in the corner, security guard smoking in front of a stall in the building, flirting with the salesgirl...
file police report need to pay money?

I mean even Nestle's milk powder, same brand but e one from Ireland turned out to be cheaper than e one from M'sia
I'm only worried abt security issues for my relative.. esp their mata
i thot m'sia one would be cheaper?
anw colleague told me that milk powder cannot buy from m'sia. cos they will remove the butter fat and sell it fats seperately... babies who drink those milk won't be as chubby de... butter fat is supposedly good for babies or something...

Oh yeah... I was in JB recently.....
I was pretty shocked that their mall cops carried shotguns.... I felt that that's overkill in the extreme. Even ordinary cops just carry pistols!
What's wrong with just carrying truncheons or nightsticks? You don't need a shotgun to stop a shoplifter, no?
I've always thought of a mall cop as some dude with a paunch munching on donuts with a cup of kopi in the other hand.

No.. The one from Ireland turned out to be cheaper after factoring in the package differences over weight
In e first place, the one from M'sia was supposed to be from Australia. I think cost made the switch to using M'sia milk
tare dun say milk powder
Even the Myojo noodle from Singapore is e same price as Maggi noodle from M'sia. I remembered it used to be the former being more expensive by quite a fair bit
I suppose all the impression of things from M'sia are cheaper is because of e fact of subsidy system tat artifically pushed prices low all the years

you forget there are violent robberies there..
dangerous shootouts have occurred with are made even more dangerous when mall cops with little training indiscriminately discharge deadly firearms in the general vicinity of the robbers who are shooting back

Zoinks.
I guess their rationale for issuing shotguns is..... it's harder to miss your target with shotguns, yes?
Guess they never heard of Dick Cheney.

cos they can't run to the robbers, can only shoot from far?
non-melee class, can only pew pew at range
Erhmm in JB, robberies in malls can equate to a shoot out
Anyway I'm not surprised at how the police works in Malaysia
My customers told me the police look at skin colour.
If you're not a certain race they do subtely hint to you that to speed things up there are 'fees' involved, or they just ignore or drag
In other news I think I'm getting tare's problem. I couldn't sleep whole night coz my right leg keep cramping up and it's still feeling cramped :x
