  all the new buildings are ugly. some more than others. some friends who came back from a trip to munich and switzerland found it hard to readjust back to the ugly architecture in singapore!

  They could have been different-good but sounds like they've headed the other way towards different-bad!    If it's really an eyesore at such a central location, they have effectively raped Orchard Road!

  in 10 yrs our population increased by 33% leh LOL

  and as I was talking to pinky bear ytd, e ERP & COE issue is another scam tat created traffic havoc

  reduce COE but increase ERP to let ppl own cars.. so naturally ppl would start using them - maybe that never came into e scholar's mind

  reminds me of cig as well... kept on increasing cig prices, so ppl dare to smuggle cos of e high price diff w/ M'sia.. so end up gahmen dun receive a single cent and gotta spend $$ on enforcement

  e new bldg aren't practical in user usage also

  like tat Ion @ Orchard... end up e original MRT entrance dun even have any iconic symbol to tell you it's e MRT station entrance

  not even a decent signboard

  and how bad the overcrowding is. and how many bicycles there are on the roads and pavements.

  Eh!  It's a natural ebb and flow, k!  A lot of Singaporeans have moved out of Singapore to venture overseas therefore the foreigners move into Singapore to fill in the gap mah!    I was so stunned to see the sheer numbers of Singaporeans in Melbourne alone!  During Singapore Day here, Bear's sis and I were exclaiming, where did all these Singaporeans crawl out from?

  Oh my!  Remember how I told you a few days ago I was caught by a TV crew in Victoria St scolding two idiotic Vietnamese men?    I think if I return home, I might end up scolding some errant cyclist or sumthin'...

  and more are leaving! one of them commented to me that is no different from being in singapore anyway, other than having to adjust to the food.

  try taking the mrt on sunday. its a surreal experience

  It did appear during Singapore Day here!  I didn't try the food there because of the queue, but I did help myself to their free Yeo's packet drinks!  Hehehe!

  The LV shop at Ion has already opened.

  I was at Orchard Road yesterday.... there was one really long queue of customers waiting to enter that LV shop.

  Seriously, what's so friggin' good about a $1000 LV handbag that it beats my $65 Vertikal backpack?
