wah lao..that 133 bus driver, like to whistle non stop...and loud somemore... plus, he like to jam on his brake last min when the bus is about 2 metre from the vehicle in front.
all passengers nearly fall when he approach every bus stop..
i have to grab the seat for my life...
nearly puke out my breakfast.!!
then switch to bus 138.. i was last one to alight the bus when reach my place. the young lady in front of me, kept tapping her card, which it din read well and i waited patiently behind her..
Finally she is done, she got down, my turn to tap card...and my card went "di" means oki,... before i could take a step forward to step out, THE DOOR CLOSE ON ME...! i turn around and look ad the bus driver, the grumbly driver show me a kind of face, and open the door.
HELLO, I WAS STANDING THERE ALL THE TIME, and the bus is nearly empty!!!!!
Reminds me of the time I was going to Bedok Camp.... I took a bus all the way to the East Coast Terminal (which is right next to the camp)....
The uncle thought that the bus was completely empty, and so he shut down the ezlink machines a long way from the terminal.... unfortunately, he didn't realise that I was actually still on the bus.
Then as the bus was pulling into the terminal, and I walked to the exit, he was shocked to see that there was still someone on the bus.... he sheepishly admitted that he had already shut off the ezlink machines.
Basket. I got charged full fare for nothing. Stupid bus uncle.

To be fair to him, the headline isn't correct. He seems to suggest that there should be editions in Malay. However. is it viable for the newspaper publishes to do so? And who knows whether both editions will publish the articles with the same meanings?

Bus 43/ 48?
Not full fare exactly, it's based on the maximum fare to the terminal from your boarding point

13....
At that time, while I was based at Bedok Camp, 13 was the only service at the terminal. Very few people used the terminal then.
Speaking of which, once I was returning home from camp..... I waited for no. 13 again at the terminal. I was the only passenger there.
The bus uncle just boarded the bus and drove off without stopping at the passenger pick-up point first. I suppose he thought there were no passengers there.
I friggin' chased the bus to the exit junction and hollered at the driver to let me on board. He was shocked to see me, and opened the door for me. Once I was aboard, I blasted him to pieces.... after all, from my observations, it was clear that he didn't even bother to check if there was anyone at the terminal who wanted to board the bus....

This cane in the email...it's rather pointless, isn't it? Either way you get dead sharks, so hunting for sharks should cease altogether.
Are sharks killed mainly for their fins, their meat or both? Some believe that it is western propaganda that sharks are killed mainly for their fins, saying instead that they are slaughtered chiefly for their meat.
However, the majority viewpoint is that the demand for sharks' fin is the key factor driving sharks towards extinction. Hear both sides of the story and watch the exciting debate between proponents of the two camps.
The debaters include Dr Giam Choo Hoo, Regional Representative for Asia (Alternate) for CITES Animals Committee, and Louis Ng, Executive Director of ACRES. This debate and public forum will be chaired by Dr Shawn Lum, President of Nature Society (Singapore), and is open to the public and media.
Date:
Friday 28th August 2009
Time:
7.30pm - 10.00pm
Venue:
Training Room P303, Spring Singapore
2 Bukit Merah Central, Singapore 159835
Admission: Free

please lah. its like me asking for an english or malay version of the lianhe zaobao. for fuck?
Shark's fin is literally tasteless....
The only reason why people eat it is the snob factor.
If I have to kill sharks to show that I'm a snob, then I think I really ought to rethink my life.

I wouldn't buy if even if it was available. The evening papers look just as bad as TNP.

the fact that they devote space to sgforums articles is deterrent enough

win32 eh ....
forgot to tell you, gcc is for *ix environments ... you'd have to load up cygwin to port it over to a windows system.

I had this rather amusing bus ride many years ago(before ezlink and stomp existed). Can't remember what bus but I took it from the old clementi bus interchange. the driver waited for us to board, then proceeded to only allow passengers to disembark along the journey. I was taking it to somewhere in Bishan, enjoyed a faster than normal journey while looking at angry people at every bus stop along the way screaming at the bus driver and banging on the door!! Some tried to board from the back but he'd speed off before they could. The driver was a real psycho!

Because there are people who are skewing the figures. Only a few kinds are eaten in Europe right, like dogfish, skate and Greenland sharks? In Asia, fins from any kind will do...

Graphic design isn't my area of specialisation. It's quite clear though that they are modelled on templates of newspapers from different countries.

well, take heart that there are a few conservationist around ....
just a little while back in a local fishing forum, someone reported catching a HUGE shark just off the boat ramp at changi sailing club ....
one towkay immediately paid over a sum of money to the captors and the shark was released back into the sea ....

Hmm... okay....
It's actually a flow systems module that I'm doing.... I gotta write a simple program to test the viability of a water distribution system....
The prof said that we could use any language..... FORTRAN, BASIC, etc....
However, C is the only one I'm familiar with.... and I suck at it, at that....
