That's interesting. Bovril had always been one of my favourite "additions" to plain porridge when I was growing up in Singapore. SPAM was another.
According to the Wikipedia entry on Bovril, the elimination of beef from the list of ingredients in 2004 caused enough of an uproar that Unilever added it back in 2006.
The Beer Bike was designed and created by Hopworks Urban Brewing of Portland, Oregon, and features two kegs and taps, plus a hot pizza storage unit. Impressive, but I can't even imagine pedaling two full kegs of beer around.
The Beer Blaster is a $23 beer/soda pistol available from ThinkGeek that punctures a shaken can and uses the carbonation to blast your enemies with sticky sodie (or a friend's open's mouth with delicious beer) from up to 10 feet.
ahh.. football highlights!
issit?
ok time to go watch

This contraption will sell well on university campuses throughout the US. Can't vouch for its suitability for the Singapore market, though.

You can play football with Ahmad, Ah Seng, and Muthusamy.
You can't go racing with them.
I didn't look in here yesterday, so I'll chip in, while respecting your opinion.
In football you can use the same balls and boots as the top players if you have the money but you have to start somewhere small with friends, don't you? You can't have the big stadiums and training facilities, and make do with traffic cones for goals.
The same goes with motor racing, same thrills can be had in small, cheaper go-karts that can tire you out and test your racecraft and car control skills like the big machines. They're quite inaccessible in Singapore of course, but in other countries gatherings for racing in karts or roadcars at circuits are more common.
It may not be as easy to make the connection between the different levels of motorsport as it is in football because the cars have different formulae, technology and rules but the skills and the thrills are common.
So for people like my classmate, who was captivated by what she saw and heard for the first time, and want to know where to begin, that's where they can go.

our MOM and so-called unions are for the betterment of employers, not employees.
