afternoon
Actually Pearl Harbour was lucky.
The most malu naval craft defeat was the Bismarck and Yamato
No lar...the most malu must have been the Battle off Samar.
USN's TF3 consisting of escort destroyers and destroyers and escort carriers (all auxillary ships) managed to scare off the IJN's Central Fleet which had battleships and heavy cruisers.
The destroyer/destroyer escorts with aircrafts armed with all the unsuitable weapons went on a sucidal battle that scared off even the Japs. For their bravery 3 were sunk....as well as 2 escort carriers one of which was sunk for the first time by kamikaze.
The small fleet were with the "wrong" weapons and were hopelessly outgunned and had only half the top speed of most ships, but they still managed to destroy 3 of the Jap heavy cruisers and a few other ships.
Yamato was in the battle.....but was forced to retreat when the sucidal destroyers launched torpedoes on both its sides and it had to travel parallel to them.
The main USN fleet was actually on a wild goose chase at this time leaving behind an unprepared and small fleet which did remarkably well.
tat one
cos Yamato didn't engaged and retreat, it never had any chance to fire any salvo before it was sunk
I'm now reading online comments abt the MediaCorp dramas tat are made in Malaysia. Malaysians over there are quite happy w/ their Malaysian local drama standard
The one to be aired on Ch 8 tml, tat one script idea came from Ville La Famille

The £10 breakfast
btw, if u can finish that breakfast in 20mins, its on the house
#$&^#$&#.........
At a lab at St John's Island now..... I was planning to simply fix together some components with super glue, test my apparatus, and go off on the 12.30 ferry.....
But after poking the brand-new super glue tube, nothing came out.... in desperation, I cut it in half. Turns out that the super glue had completely solidified. One whole morning wasted.
And that was a brand-new Australian-brand (Selley's) super glue bought at the friendly neighbourhood Ah Beng discount shop.....
I feel like giving the chief Ah Beng a chokeslam.....

St John's Island is south of Sentosa..... you need a ferry to get here.
I don't have much of a choice.... my lab on campus can't handle some of the stuff I'm doing, while the St John's lab has the facilities and resources I need.
Besides, I'm also collaborating with a researcher who's based on the island.

on the other hand, if the bleeding heart idiot could have left the cat alone, and not raised a ruckus with the similarly idiotic SMRT staff, the cat would have calmed down and went its own way
sometimes, the logical thing to do is to not do a thing at all

wonder if we could convince the boss to do that. She seems to have something about engaging officers by talking to them and what not
