The idiots shouldn't even have brought the bag along when pest control was on its way. They went ahead with their own plan anyway and failed to trap it.
It seems that getting back to 'business as usual' was their top priority, even if it meant getting the cat killed.

yup.. lots of places seem to be lacking in good sense and humanity...
i had to tell off a superior officer once because he wanted to "throw away" the cat which had given birth under our counter...
eventually, we coaxed the mother cat out by "kidnapping" her sole surviving kitten and put them in a box in the office... where they were later adopted by one of the officers..
frankly, if the goddamned asshole superior officer had left them alone, they'd have gone off eventually... but to these asswipes, anything that threatens the normality of the day is to be "eradicated"
afternoon
mmm... Now there's madness over wet market taken back and become NTUC at Sembawang.
The fuss is partly because there's alrdy 2 NTUC Fairprice in the 18,000 unit strong Sembawang.
Wa liaoz eh, even Clementi has 29,000 units has only 2 NTUC Fairprice
They are trying to get rid of wet markets I think. Nothing that new. But it would have been better if it had been another supermarket.

well my take is tat they've stopped building wet market alrdy in e first place for 20 yrs, those in e maturing towns are considered tendered out and privately rented to the tenants to fill e gap.
But you think abt, the gahmen ends up using NTUC to monopolise the trade, fearing for SS.
Make loss nvm ma, use ah gong $$. GST increase, ask supplier to absorb and the mini star will say NTUC has 'absorbed' for the people of Singapore.
Another thing, 3 NTUC for serve 18,000 units??? joking
omg! its 12.25pm already!!!!
gotta make my move at 1pm

let's see if Seng Siong or Giant can grab the market.

Dairy Farm has overtaken NTUC being the biggest retailer in turnover liao, SS is fast catching up No 3, behind NTUC

Then good lor. Dairy farm is different, as it's a huge group/consortium.

tat's why NTUC or even gahmen would be despo to flood e area w/ more NTUC
But they dun understand, more outlet would just mean diluted turnover per outlet. I suspect SS's turnover per outlet is way higher than NTUC by even 3x if I boldy guess
so.. NTUC wants to move in by forcing the wet markets out? but in the way is Sheng Siong....
screw it.. they talk cock over "competition" and when competition gives the consumers a fair shake, they try underhanded methods...

but dun forget, Sheng Siong started as being a chap huey tiam also. The recent 5 market issue, they were at least willing to cham siong over the moving out deadline. Neither are there SS outlets duplicating near those markets.
But the one at Sembawang alrdy has 2 NTUC serving 18,000 units! Even Jurong West's 68,000 unit has only 4 NTUC serving
my test of grocery shops = price + queues; sometimes i would gladly pay a bit more if the latter is shorter.
same goes to the COE issue
They cut small car quota, tat's good. But they're cutting lorry quota by 19%!
Yet the big cars e rich and mini star uses drop by only 9%
Whatever makes them tick. Frankly we're never going to get a clear accounting for these decisions and there's no real way to affect the decisions.

COE isn't very well used despite the reason it was introduced. As for big cars, I suspect drop less because less people bought over the recent period of recession.

Reminds me, isn't it on e PAP's talk abt check and balance. They dun need it

less people buy dun make sense cos it's never $1 at every bidding 'war'
we need new garmen
opposition must start using their brains if they wanna win
because half the battle is won already
if opposition cannot win against a garmen that people are disgruntled with, then opposition is really cmi
