  Just farming is, like, so much work! How do you guys find the time to play all these games?

  And my farm is getting too crowded.... thinking of selling off my cows and chickens.

  actually, i kinda like Treasure Mania..

  find treasure by playing little games like tetris and bubble bobble..

  then you can trade treasures..

  although the game hasn't developed so far yet to enable you to buy things with the gold you collect

  So-called 'e-Learning' week for NUS.....

  I'm in the library on campus for a 6-9 pm lecture. Apparently the lecturer is gonna conduct his lecture through an online chat room....

  I don't know how that's gonna work.... I'd be far more contented with a webcast video uploaded onto Youtube.

  Help pours in for Ketsana victims in the Philippines

  Singapore: Tiger Airways set the pace for companies and residents to come forward to do their bit for survivors of tropical storm Ketsana in the Philippines, making a donation of 500,000 pesos.

  Tiger Aviation boss Tony Davis and Tiger Airways Singapore Managing Director Rosalynn Tay presented the cheque of about S$15,000 to Philippines Ambassador to Singapore.

  Ambassador Minda C Cruz said, "We are saddened by this unfortunate natural disaster but heartened by the kind gestures shown by Singaporeans to help Filipinos to rebuild their lives after the storm.

  "Tiger Airways is among the first to answer our call for help and this generous donation of 500,000 pesos, the largest thus far collected by the embassy, will be given directly to those who need it most."

  The Philippines was one of the first destinations served by Tiger Airways and Tony Davis, President & Group Chief Executive said everyone at the airline was moved by the suffering in the Philippines.

  “I urge Singapore companies and residents to chip in and do their part" said Davis.

  Only monetary donations can be made towards the relief effort as used clothing, is prohibited from being imported into the country.

  However the Filipino Association in Singapore (FAS) is accepting donations in kind which may be dropped off at A—Freight Cargo in Orchard Road’s Lucky Plaza.

  Two other firms in Lucky Plaza, i—Remit Singapore and LBC Singapore have also decided to help by waiving remittance charges for donations made to organisations in the Philippines such as the Philippine National Red Cross, ABS—CBN Foundation, GMA Foundation, Philippine National Red Cross, and the National Disaster Coordinating Center.

  Singapore—based relief organisations, Mercy Relief and Singapore Red Cross are also sending aid in the form of food, medicine and water purification tablets and filters, along with cash and cheque donations.

  on 1 oct Tiger desserted all passengers and stranded them in EARTHQUAKE AREA...and happily pose for MEDIA that they donate money... SAME DAY!!!

  i oledi sold off my chickens.... really getting crowded lor....

  I'm running late for work but I cbf 

  I'm still in a pissy mood today after I lost my head and literally told my boss to Fuck off. Yes I said those words with a string of hokkien explicits. I'm not proud of it but I was already going ballistic >.<"

  Another week to go but then again I think this will continue till month end coz my backlog is now sky high

  Thanks to 'e-Learning Week', the lecture last night was conducted through a chatroom....

  Needless to say, it was a washout, and I ended up learning virtually nothing..... you can't see the lecturer, and for him to transmit his voice through the chatroom, he had to press and hold down a 'transmit' button.

  As a result, the lecturer sounded as though he was lecturing through a walkie-talkie:

  *CRRACK* Okay, if you'll all look at slide 11 *CRRACK* Refer to the first equation *CRRACK*The first two complex terms refer to, erm.... *CRRACK*

  Apparently they want to prepare for a real pandemic where no one can come to class.... the lecturers are given discretion to conduct e-learning in whatever way they want.

  I have another lecture on Thursday, and this lecturer seems more sensible. He said that he would be uploading a webcast video of himself giving the lecture.

  That takes away interactivity.... but at least I would be able to see the fella, the sound quality would be much better, I can choose whatever time I want to watch the lecture, and I can always pause and rewind the video at will.

  yeah.. that'll be better..

  then he'll take questions through email or a public board which everyone can read and take notes better...

  i figure that's preferable to the crackly noise of a live whatever that is

  Ok great......this reminds me.  That the classes I have on for the next two months.  Involves lecturers or course co-ordinators sending us notes and powerpoint slides to prepare us for class.

  And there is definitely going to mean that I need to read up on materials besides notes the lecturers dished out.

  And that means trips to libraries.  And not just any libraries, must be Police and Legal library sections.

  Then have to try to co-ordinate and bring up the standards of the class, cos we all too varied a background and educational level.  Theory is all fine and dandy, but seriously.  You cannot expect 19 year old girls and 35 year old aunties to understand:

  "What you cannot protect is not yours."
