Like a few days ago...I asked my Rafflesian friend, the straight As fella....about something to do with economics.
KNN, limbeh kena suan by him indirectly saying things like: Eh you so smart, econs major somemore....I confirm dunno how to answer you.
Waste my time!
Of course he knew the answer though. Which was of course what mattered.

I think their IQ gives them a lot of confidence about themselves .... so they know when to let go, when to jiak, so their EQ is not low either .... that's why they can climb so fast, even in the private sector ....
of course ... there were pricks too ....
Can tell the scholars to go easy on the ERP?

Yeah.... I remember reading about RJC students who were weeping over getting 'only' three As for their A Levels.... this actually appeared in the news.
And there was this RJC prick in my BMT platoon who lapsed into depression.... why? Because two fellas from the 'lesser' schools of TJC and TPJC got 4As and he felt kaput because he 'lost' to them....
That especially got to me because I was that TJC fella.
Disclaimer: Not saying that all RJC fellas are bad.... I know of a few good ones.

So jialat.
To him, the other insult was probably that he kena beaten by those from "inferior" JCs.

It gets better....
That night, he sneaked out of bunk after lights off and went running at the running track at BMTC School 1..... predictably, he got caught by the COS of another company....
When asked why he did so, he said that he wanted to 'prove his worth' after he kena whacked at the A Levels....
*facepalms*
A level students are sibeh cmi
they give us headaches at the squadron
and i have no idea why they post A level students to be technicians
the farkers have trouble passing the test at air force school!!!
this is what you get when people just study all the time and have no hands on experience.

Did he move on to spec/ocs courses?

No.... he went to SAFSA, and that was the last I heard of him....
This was the fella who chao keng like hell as well.... he skipped all the bayonet fighting lessons, grenade throwing lessons, route marches, went for one single SOC lesson, skipped BMT outfield entirely....
You think leh?

because of the way the bmt intake goes now.. first 2 quarters of the year are given to jc batches whereas poly batches occupies the 3rd and 4th..
just like why last time air ops specs were all A lvl grads but now takes in poly students too.

There's a 400m running track..... near the medical center, I think.

oh wait, now i remember
the football field where the helicopter lands, and the grass flies all the way to our bunk which isn't that near the field.

Unfair statement leh.....me and my 2 JC mates worked our bums off without question. And we work with the N level, O level guys also and we got along fine.
Ah.....the days of stinking of diesel and sweat together.
Contrast that to the 2 poly guys we replaced...why replace? Bcos they chaokeng and refused to sail bcos of the amount of shit work and mental stress we get.
Disclaimer: Nothing against poly guys....its just I find it very unfair to lump all JC kias into the buei zhor category.
Unfortunately I soon learned why such claims surfaced.....back in BMT there were pricks who looked down on others. Refuse to help those in need.....smirk at those "weaker". Others complain so much about work I wish I had ear-plugs.
After I came across the poly guys I mentioned.....I concluded it isn't just as simple as JC/poly or what. Its a general trend.
And for the record, the O level guys all went to chaokeng causing me and my JC mates to wish fervently for ORD.
I was lookout for 18 hrs straight on my ORD sailing....scanning the horizons from day to night with not even time to sit! All these bcos some arseholes refused to share the workload with the 3 of us who didn't even report sick once throughout our tenure!

luckily i don't have to handle them already
all their SI is farking low.
no initiative to even help their batch mates.
don't have the mentality to finish earlier, get to go home earlier.

Just about as well. Some "elite" there.
And there was this recruit who tried to get all of us recruits to do push-ups.
There was of course a revolt against this prick who simply wanted to exercise his "powers" and "prepare for OCS".

u good lor
u should look at the clowns we get at my side.
give u the blur look and they are supposed to be smarter than you
won't move until u kick their butts
i have more fun with the poly batch than the A level fellas who don't move a muscle

actually the airforce shouldnt even be taking in nsfs because of the nature of the work, the secruity complications..like last time according to the old enciks the airforce was all regulars, but those idiotic scholars cames up with plans like pp1/pp2 and started chasing all the regulars away..now there's even a new scheme to cover up for the failures called MDES.

MDES is a joke
and the best part is was conceived by the fella who came up with the previous plan.
its to cover his own sh*t up.
and now the assforce is commercialising.
lovely.

yep, when i asked one of the enciks about his thoughts on mdes, he said "fark mdes, its the same shit but different name"..
have no idea why in the airforce, your place is justified not by how good you're at your job but rather your ability and time to do saigang in the organization like planning for retiree dinners etc..
same goes for the pilots, and they wonder why most 85% of the pilots leaves after their 10 year bond..
but for the many regulars who made the move over to ST, they're enjoying it.. firstly they get paid OT and OT seems like a everyday thing in fact it is, those former 1sg who used to draw 2k are now earning double 4k+ although their starting salary is lower..dont need to take shit from superiors, and dont need to do organization bullshit, which means they're left to just concentrate on their job. so in a sense its good.
i remember when i went in, PP1 / PP2 JUST started
then they say "only the top 10% will get PP2"
yeah. good.
now the 10% are the ones who cmi outside so they stay.
my hardworking squadron personnel have either ORD-ed, early release or waiting to go. some even take PP2 then resign.
the lazy ones are the ones who might want to stay.

I dunno why some people can chaokeng without batting an eye. And they are the ones who's supposed to have "good" work ethics.
There was even a period of time I went home late at night everyday....because there was no other NSFs besides us to splice the ropes. The regulars were having their training so no one else could help.
The others? Sorry....my back pain. I cannot do. (Ok fine...give benefit of doubt)
Sorry....I dunno how to do. (Can learn right???)
Sorry....can I go early? I got driving lesson. (Cpl asking us 3SGs.....we could say no, but then we are all NSFs....so we just LL and say yes)
After the 3 of us ORD on the same day....we went to another regular's wedding....but the existing NSFs were not invited. In a ship that's only 100+m and what's supposed to be a close-knit family this is totally unthinkable and tells a lot about the immense problems given by the batch after us.
And just before I ORD....one of the O lvl folk's parents complained about my unit "torturing" their son. The officer was so pissed he wanted to talk to the parents directly and make them "ashamed they ever had a son like that".

u know the annual audits?
most of the time they can't catch anything on your normal work
half the time they fault you on your secondary appointment.
what does the management say about this? stay back after work to do secondary appointment.
stay back for what f*ck? i don't have OT, i am paid to do one job.
i am amazed that some of my colleagues go back on weekends to clear their secondary appointment.

the scholars thought they by saying only the top 10% will get it they thought they were motivating people to work harder outside of their regular job..
cause maybe they themselves were the top 10% in their educational pursuits so they wanted to keep only the elites, but it backfired horribly.

Ahahaha....MDES.
$$ politics rearing its head again.
It would seriously disappoint those who signed on for their genuine patriotism. Which aren't many.

only the hardworking NSFs get invited to our Regular meet up sessions.
the lazy farkers can piss off. Regulars included.
